[Issue -- Formatting Bug] Manually typing character for quotations and posting

Chønklord·6/2/2017, 4:37:48 AM·1 votes·1,201 views

Whenever I manually type the character ">" (plus a space) to mark text in a quote box, after posting, all my ">" are replaced with the HTML reference code ">". So instead of having some text within a quote box, like so:

Normal text in a quote box after using the > symbol.

A new paragraph.

I get this instead:

> Now every instance of > used in my post formatting is converted into a literal ">" symbol. When editing the post again, all instances of ">" originally typed have converted to the HTML code ">". > > Yay, now I have to use an external editor to find/replace all instances of the HTML code back into ">" and copy/paste the entire post back in to the editor.

Yeah sorry, boards are murder. I recommend simply copying the entire post before posting it, then edit and repaste over it.
