Please Implement View Count

I'm not sure whether that's necessarily a valuable feature. As a post writer it would be nice to see how much attention you're getting, but in theory the voting system and comments should be able to adequately show that.

What does view count do to heighten the usefulness of the platform? Are there any adverse effects to being able to see view count? Would people only look at threads with lots of/very few view counts?
