Does "@Riot" have any purpose?

I'm wondering, are you more inclined to read discussions with @<"Riot"|Rioter name> or is it pointless? I find it hard to make rioters see my discussions since I also don't know what kind of hours you check the boards at and that I'm from Europe, with a high time difference.

They sometimes scroll new threads; mainly tho they communicate through hot threads

I opened this board because there was @Riot in it. I'm dissapointed to see that it's not directed at riot.
