Up/Down is no good for this board.

Tired of this up/down nonsense. If you got an opinion the majority like you're getting the ^'s. They don't like it? Get out the ↓'s!!``

This board is like Reddit, except Reddit has rules about using this feature just because you don't like somebodies opinion, even Disqus has these rules. It's more like Youtube, a comments section most people don't even want to read. up/down is the worst virus to ever infect the internet - less and less can the different survive, sometimes an idea only seems bad at first and is found to be a great one later, but we'll have none of that. The majority will always have the loudest voice, so why does it have to also be made the only one?

My opinions should not be held up to popularity system where they are suppressed for being unpopular, nobodies should. There should especially be no lower threshold for unpopular opinions eventually being hidden.

Voting is disabled in GD (threads not comments). If you feel so strongly about the voting system you might prefer making your threads over there. If you don't want threads sorted by their popularity you should change the sorting option to New or Recent. You also might need to just accept that your ideas are not always going to be as well received as you want them to be. If you are always getting downvoted a lot, most likely you have a habit of rubbing people the wrong way or are actually wrong.
