Can posts/threads asking for upvotes be deleted?

Getting real tired of people karma whoring by making posts that say "UPVOTE IF YOU AGREE/WANT THIS" followed by something that it's obvious the majority of the community wants. These posts tend to foster nothing more than a circlejerk and are often the same things posted repeatedly. If you look at the most upvoted comments, a large number of them are "Upvote if you want X" posts about the exact same 3-5 things. The two most upvoted posts in the gameplay section have literally the exact same title.
