@Riot, Does it concern you that most players have the Boards set as close to old format as possible?
Most people have threads set to chronological view and boards sorted by recent/new.

It's good but it's interesting that after all of Riot's 'improvements' people are just reverting to the closest thing to the Old Forums.

Regardless, I don't think anyone can argue that having the option to either sort chronologically or by popularity is a bad thing. More choice is great to a point, and I think that the current system in this regard is solid.
A month or two ago, Pendragon mentioned that around 70% of people are using 'Hot' sorting. I'm not particularly surprised -- people tend to stick with the default option.
I also think this is a good thing: Hot sorting is very good for the majority of users. These people DON'T come on the forums very much, so they just want to see the most popular threads. The next time they come back won't be for at least a few days, when there will be a new selection of Hot threads, so they won't get bored.
For us, of course, we read the hot threads, come back in an hour, and find the same threads, which is why we switch to New (in my case) or Recent (in your case).
Yeah because this "top" post and all this "boards" bullshit is stupid as fuck and they trying to be a new twitter or facebook or some stupid bullshit
