Can we plz have our drop down menus back?
Like, pretty plz? I've been dying to read the dev tracker for days.

The "Dev Tracker" is the same as the Red Tracker and is located on the menu to the left <<<. Look for the fist icon.
We are currently assessing the obvious value the dropdowns provided and are looking at solutions.

Can you also help me with why I can't see my notifications and updates? I know the box is gone and its moved to the top right corner, but its not there for me
I think part of the point there is that it's an extra click and an extra loaded page just so a user can access the specific functionality he/she wants. The old (more functional) navigation bar allowed a user to one stop shop and immediately get to whatever he/she was looking for, now the user has to go through at least one extra page load.
Overall not a huge deal, of course, but the new nav bar is sacrificing a pretty substantial amount of functionality for...seemingly nothing.

For me, the biggest issue is there are places (PBE forums) that are extremely difficult to find without the dropdown links.
I'm not quite sure what you mean, but do you want it at the very top of the navigation bar like this?
I never really used it back before the Boards update, so I have practically no recollection as to what the bar was like.
The nav bar had dropdowns below every category, so a user could just hover over (for example) where it says Boards, see Red Tracker, click it, and be immediately brought there from anywhere else on the website.
Something like this?
something like it. Tho I would say that one is a tad too long. (but long is better than none I suppose)

Got any suggestions how I could make it better? I just went an included every single sub-board since it makes sense, but I also think it looks a bit too long which is kind of annoying
could try a sub list for some of them. I've seen sites do stuff like that. Hover over an option to pull up a second drop down with related content.
btw, is that a mockup? If it's not a mockup and is actually functional, how the heck are you doing that?
Edit: also, you should try putting the red tracker at the top of the list like it used to be. ;)

Alright I'll keep that in mind, and I agree with you having the Red Tracker be at the very top.

I'm the developer for FEK (Forum Enhancer Kit); the thread can be found here:
http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/GD/cg2zx6Ey-fek-30-preview
What it does is "enhance the forum/boards" by giving a lot of neat new things to people who have it installed. The biggest feature would be custom avatars.

In the FEK thread, people post the avatars they want and they will be uploaded to FEK's server.
Right now, FEK is extremely buggy because I rushed developing it when the boards came out, but now I'm finally getting around to re-creating the entire thing to fix all the bugs and add in more features.
ah, interesting
