Be more lenient with normal game dodges

You often get people with troll picks and when you want to play seriously to practice there really is no other option but to dodge.

This is mainly because of how many Irelia mids are showing up if I'm honest.

First off, Irelia mid isn't a troll pick. A diver with the combat advantages of an assassin, game-changing ult, and the durability to take on various match-ups, can more than thrive on the mid-lane.

Second; Even if you were getting people who troll pick, you dodging still deserves a punishment. To use your own words; there's at least three other people who want to play seriously and practice. And since Irelia mid is not a troll pick, that's actually four teammates you're leaving high and dry, not to mention the five people on the enemy team.

You're making it take longer for nine people to get into a match, all because you think Irelia mid is a troll pick. If you consistently dodge, you get punished. Like it or not, you're still screwing with people when you dodge, so you need to be punished and reminded that you queue up to get into a match, not to bail at the first sight of something you don't like.

Play the games out rather than dodge them. There's nothing more that can really be said.

I'm not asking to remove punishment for dodges, only to be more lenient. All I am suggesting is that on a scale of instant permaban for dodging and no punishment at all for dodging, the system in place for normal games is a bit on the harsh side.

The reason for that is you get more troll picks in normal games than you do in ranked games, and often when someone dodges a normal game it is because of a very good reason and I often respond to dodges like "Thank god someone dodged that" and my friends do too. Suffering a 5 or 15 minute dodge timer is much better than sitting through a 20min ff game or a long drawn out loss. Being stuck in a game you know you're going to lose is much worse than a dodge timer.

You focused a lot on me mentioning Irelia mid, and the reason it is a troll pick is because she takes the place of a specialised damage dealer, meaning that it puts a lot of the enemy team's focus on the ADC. If there is no one to peel for your ADC and the enemy team picks an assassin jungle, then your ADC is just going to repeatedly die late game until you lose, not to mention that the ADC cannot deal as much damage because the enemy team will just stack armour. Irelia has to get quite far ahead to survive diving into an enemy team, which just isn't going to happen most of the time.
