Hi All,

AT LAST, PROBLEM HAS BEEN RESOLVED AND ACCOUNT HAS BEEN UNBANNED.

HUGE HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU THAT SUPPORTED, COMMENTED, UP VOTED, SHARED MY STORY WHICH IS A BIG PART WHERE MY PROBLEM WAS BEING NOTICED AND BEING SOLVED IN THE END, WHICH ONLY TOOK A MONTH, 8 TICKETS, MORE THAN 7 SUPPORTS AND A CRAZY THREAD THAT GOT BOOSTED UP BY ALL OF YOU, AND ALSO I GOTTA GIVE SOME CREDITs TO THE TITLE "BLACK ALISTAR AND KING RAMMUS", I THINK WITHOUT IT I DON'T THINK I CAN ATTRACT AS MUCH AS ATTENTION AS WITH IT, YOU GUYS AGREE WITH ME ON THIS ONE RIGHT. ANYWAYS, THANK YOU ALL.

THANK YOU ALL FOR ALL THE SUPPORT, COMMENTS AND UP VOTES, I AM NOT ASKING ANYONE TO BELIEVE ME. IT IS YOUR FREE WILL OF YOUR JUDGEMENT ON THIS. JUST GOT A NEW REPLY FROM THE SUPPORT AGAIN(LAST SCREENSHOT) AND AS YOU MAY GUESS, IT IS STILL THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN. THANKS ROIT!!!!

This is going to be a bit long so be prepared, so apparently my account got permanently suspended for "sharing another player's personal information" which I have never done. My account got banned on a day where there was a login issue which I did not experience but I was normally playing and after a game finished my client crashed and was trying to log back in and a message pop up saying my account got permanently suspended and check associated email for more detail and I got nothing in my email or any notice anywhere. I have never got any warning or bans at all. My account is a closed beta account, so I have been playing since then, which contains rare skin like black alistar, king rammus, etc, and also accumulated over 90k IP because I was trying to save up to a 100k as a goal of my own. And then this happened. Here are all my tickets I have sent to roit support. Enjoy the story and let me know what you guys think about it.

What kind of support is this...notice how they didn't even say if you supposedly had given the personal information through the game or client, just that you may have. Surely saying the platform that you gave the information away on isn't infringing on privacy so why wouldn't they just say where you gave the information away from?

Even if you did give away information, this experience seems absolutely ridiculous

RiotdArtagnan9/19/2016, 6:30:39 PM54 votes

I'm just gonna be straight honest here:

We sucked.

And then we sucked again.

Here is what happened: We received an incredibly damning report supported by hard evidence of one player sharing personal information of another player in an effort to cause distress and harm. We take situations like this very seriously, so we reviewed the evidence and decided to ban this scumbag off the face of the Eart--League. We don't want miscreants like that apart of our community. So far so good! Yet, when we entered the players name in our account tools to ban them, we typed the name wrong. Not like we fat-fingered it, but sometimes lower case letters and upper case letters can look very similar to the naked eye, and we took the upper case "I" (i) as a lower case, "l" (L). This was the first suck: For some reason, we didn't copy pasta the name.

When you wrote into us LeagueL, our agents read your ticket, looked up your account, saw the ban notice, and took the time to double-check the original ruling. We take suspensions and punishments very seriously, so when it is challenged we fact check everything, and perform another investigation. Since the evidence is really damning, we made the same call that the ban was justified. However, none of the follow-up agents checked to make sure that the Summoner Name in the original report matched your Summoner Name. This is where we sucked again. (I legit tried for 20 minutes finding a damn .gif of this without success).

Keyru will respond to your ticket (#23351506) to talk to you more about this issue on a one-on-one setting and see what we can do to make this right. Without question, we are going to un-ban your account and make sure the right player has the full wrath of justice fall on their head.

As for the support agents who took part of this entire experience, we are going to do some internal investigation and take appropriate action.

A side note regarding some of the other commentary in this thread: Depending on the reason for the suspension, we don't always share the specific or exact details, especially when it pertains to sensitive/personal information. This is why this information was never directly disclosed in the ticket, as we try to protect the original party. If this evidence was specifically disclosed, it could cause retaliation. This case is a perfect example of why we have this policy. More specifically, if we identified where the evidence exactly came from, the next logical question is, "can I see the proof?", of which the answer is going to be "no". Not a very happy end which is why we don't give details of the evidence.

For this case, it all boils down to us messing up on the Summoner Name, nothing to do with the evidence itself.

LEEROY KLEDKINS9/17/2016, 11:30:10 AM52 votes

Your legal to view evidence regardless if your guilty or not (I don't know you in person so please don't take my confusion negatively)

Obviously real information like person's address, phone, ip, etc shouldn't be shown on the evidence because a person can easily just screenshot or download the details and send it to random people.

So the information should be erased but they should show proof in the chat or whatever goes on the client.

They clearly didn't read your messages and just went "Another guy crying over his banned account and he gave our pig faces money because we need more money for our fat faces. Blah blah blah not paying attention to this guy even though he said he doesn't want his account back but just wants proof of this information leak even if we censor it, we can do that we have the technology and knowledge to do this but fuck this guy lets never give him the evidence".

There could be a theory that someone might have messed with the client to trigger your account to get banned because your account has high value with your longevity and limited edition skins.

The staff that handled this matter have done such a piss poor job and should be punished for their sloppy work. They are ment to be paid to read your complaints and take the best action to sort out your problem (Which they didn't)

As I mentioned before "They clearly didn't read your messages".

On the support staff side i can imagine their team from around the world is mentally struggling to go through everysingle message. I recommend to Riot to hire more support staff and maybe a better pay with staff surveillance to make sure they don't slack off.

Regardless of what kind of person you are I'm powerless to convince companies to do what I request them to do, but we (everyone around the world) can only say our words and just hope we get heard.

But i do hope something good comes to you that can take your mind of this game.

Count Zubat9/17/2016, 8:31:15 AM46 votes

Upvoted, because it looks really suspicious and you seem to be believable. Wish you good luck and that some other Rioter looks into your case further. Reading through all those tickets, it trully is ridiculous.

xXMrPeanutXx9/17/2016, 6:34:44 AM44 votes

Can I answer the next follow up?

"Account sharing is not allowed, I have concrete evidence, the ticket is closed"

Damn, that was easy! Cheers!!

I love Riot but this is garbage, man.

Rito: you did something bad You: what Rito: can't tell you, it's private You: what? you can't tell me what I supposedly did? Rito: you shared information You: like what? Rito: we can't share that information You: so you're telling me that i shared info but won't tell me what it is I shared? Rito: since you clearly have no more concerns, I'll consider the problem solved. You: flips table

C'mon Riot, the people who post these things on boards 9/10 times are innocent. Remember LeChatlier?http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/Yoni8xoR-this-could-be-you-nextplease-read

If you're going to ban someone for boosting because a robot told you, ban RiotTryndamere for blatantly boosting

Canastus9/17/2016, 10:34:21 AM40 votes

Meanwhile RiotTryndamere (the head of this game's company, folks) is knowingly breaking the rules with his account sharing and gets to keep both (!) of his accounts after being called out for it - he'd probably never brought it up himself otherwise. How much more corrupt can you get?

It's really shitty how they treat veteran players like you who've been around since the very beginning of this game just to suddenly become the victim of some unkown third party infringing on your privacy. Their way of "reasoning" is far too convenient for them and heavily reminds me of the bullshit they do in their esports cases.

They blatantly withhold evidence by claiming "it's a matter of private information" - well, whose information is it exactly if not the one of the victim? Are they WILLINGLY protecting the third party here which committed the act of hacking? How fucked up is that?

It's simply disgusting how the victim is being turned into the guilty party in these cases without a single piece of evidence given, this is flatout dictatorship. Riot Games might have its eyes on Korea when it comes to their game, but it sure as hell ain't the South.

[slayer-jinx-unamused] Holy shit it's like youre arguing with Hillary fking Clinton in court. They're just dodging and looping around everything you're saying how frustrating.. I'm sorry man.. ;;

Nyanza9/17/2016, 5:48:26 AM28 votes

They won't show you a chat log because they don't have one.

EDIT: Let me clarify. Rito still uses the automatic bots to ban people. So, they don't have any evidence, specifically chat logs, to show.

Looks like another common story of :

"Riot support is fucking useless"

Red pops up on boards : "I'm gonna fix this"

Fixed, problem resolved omg riot support is flawless.

MonkeyMadness9/18/2016, 4:34:09 AM17 votes

Are you fucking kidding me Riot? Over 300 upvotes on what appears to be a FALSE PERMABAN and you don't even take the time to comment on this thread???

You have 0 respect for the people that keep bread on your collective table, and you honestly don't deserve the great community that has flocked to this game.

Sans Hama9/17/2016, 6:13:59 AM15 votes

Riot is ridiculous, i really hope a read replies! Lets bump this shit!

wonder what a rioter has to say about this..

SergeantRusty9/18/2016, 12:07:10 AM13 votes

What the actual fuck, my respect for riot gets lesser and lesser everyday. I really hope that a rioter notices this post and does something about it for you, and this just ends up being a fault of a troll on their support team. This is just absolutely mind blowing that they handled it this way. It's like you're trying to reason with a brick wall.

TrulyBland9/17/2016, 6:40:59 AM12 votes

I understand that they follow the guideline "better safe than sorry" when it comes to privacy of other players.

But it does seem a tiny bit stupid, that they're protecting somebody's privacy by not giving you information that you allegedly shared. I mean... logically I'd assume that you already had that information to begin with.

Anyway, support usually doesn't have a lot of leeway when it comes to things like that, so tickets likely won't help. But hey, maybe we can get a red to read this thread.

SlowChemical9/17/2016, 8:33:36 AM11 votes

This is pretty awful. If they had logs of you sharing information, they could have shown the conversation with the information blurred out. It's not as if this would require a large amount of time or effort. Wow.

No rioters commenting? Figures.

HadesBlades9/18/2016, 4:47:42 PM10 votes

No this is purely unacceptable behavior by Riot Games. It's support system should thoroughly explain what has happened, when it happened, and what information they have found pertaining to this matter. I understand the need to keep the other players' privacy safe, but they don't give detail of when this happened, who it is investigated this issue (to bring about the ban) and they don't assist you with the matter on your follow ups completely closing the ticket immediately.

Sorry to say this Riot, but we are customers of your service, a gaming service I might add. Not only is it unprofessional for them to completely close this issue not giving full context and content but it shows how unwilling they are to work with their player base. Keep following up with them, this is the issue with doing it via the internet and not on phone, less humanization the easier it is for them to push the matter away. For a company that just had it's 10 year anniversary you think they would act more lively and less bureaucratic.

For those who are too lazy to read the bullshit of riot, let me sum it up for you. OP: Hi, I've been permanently suspended, please let me know for what and why?

Riot: We have solid evidence that is impossible to be incorrect, of you sharing account details of another player. We are not going to show you that evidence. Our word is law. You stay permabanned.

Hey dude, Idk if this helps, but I work at a ISP company as a Tech support/Customer support. So Idk if its the same as for all companies but if you threaten to complain to the BBB aka the Business Bureau

Its escalated to supervisor or higher because the bbb is basically the Rotten Tomatoes for business. So try complaining about it through the business bureau.

General Esdeath 9/18/2016, 6:02:03 AM8 votes

Great customer support. Bans you with no proof but lets Mark share accounts and "fine himself". What a joke. Riot throws older players aside to try and focus on dragging in more "friend groups". Can't wait for them to learn the hard way that once a single person in each group stops playing, the whole group slowly stops.

DoktorKaiser9/17/2016, 12:34:34 PM8 votes

This is just stupid, you should look to hire a lawyer to protect your invested money and time if they refuse to show you the evidence of your breaking of summoners code!!!

ModUlanopo9/17/2016, 8:42:57 PM5 votes

I guess I'm a little confused here. You asked what caused your instant permaban and they replied that you gave away personally identifying information about another player. This is a HUGE TOS violation.

It doesn't matter if you know the person. It doesn't matter if you have their permission. It doesn't matter if you said it in jest.

As you may have read downthread, someone else did the same thing, but with fake information. Riot looked into it and everything turned out okay. At least FOUR different people examined your account and recognized that what you did was wrong. That's confirmation enough for me.

As for why it's always wrong, Riot cannot assume liability when someone gets hurt or harassed because you released personally identifying information. That's also why they're not going to send you the information you revealed. It's simply never going to happen.

Profirix9/18/2016, 4:54:24 AM4 votes

I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but when you hit that accept button on the EULA, you give Riot all control in these matters. They don't have to give you any information and they can ban you whether or not you are truly guilty or not. At this point, it is a 'he said, she said' matter and Riot will almost always win these cases because they don't have to disclose this information to anyone.

All you can do is make as much noise as possible and hope someone who is sympathetic hears you. Truth be told, we can't be sure you aren't lying your ass off. There just isn't any evidence.
