About Reports

So I am not the best player out there and I know it. I have some amazing performances and some really poor ones. What I have come to realize is how easy it is for people to report you. Take my last game for example, I am playing Nidalee jungle and immediately after the game starts my Top and Mid lanes are feeding. Enemy Garen , Nunu and Xerath are fed and Nunu decides to camp bot lane since it the only even lane. This results in my bot lane feeding as well since they don't ward properly. Meanwhile I'm trying to salvage what is left from top and mid . Jinx keeps farming my bot side of jungle since they lost turret and she can't extend which forces me to be in the top side of the map mostly. Game ends and Thresh who is 1/6/5 says "report Nida" in chat. Mind you my score is 2/5/2 while Mid laner is 0/6/5 . top laner is 3/8/1 and adc is 5/4/2. So mu score isn't nearly as bad as mid and top yet thresh wants to report me because he thinks I should exclusively help bot lane. In some instances during the game he said "nidalee is useless" even tho at the time my score was positive.

Now although some of you will say that I should help the even lane and abandon the losing lanes, keep in mind that this is opinion and not standard strategy. Letting Garen and Xerath get big is just as bad. The point is not that however. The point is that this happens TOO often. Junglers keep getting blamed for weak lanes and if you dare say anything and try to defend yourself people will call you toxic and report you for verbal abuse and harassment.

In low elo you see all kinds of builds, most people don't know how to build sometimes don't even bother buy armor and mr always prioritizing the wrong items and even bring wrong summoner spells are too common. Trying to criticize people's build will cause them to report you even though you are just trying to help. Asking them to play safe and stop diving or fighting a fed opponent will also result in getting reported. People call you toxic for ANYTHING and report you too.

This scares me because I have invested alot of time and money in my account. I own almost all champs and have some skins too. Getting reported can result in chat bans which also means I can't get hextech rewards. Getting wrongfully reported sucks and the fact that you can't defend yourself against people who wrongfully blame you, sucks even more. If I try to explain that it wasn't me who fed but someone else, then people get mad for calling them feeders and report me.

I know many people feel this way, having to shut up while being abused by an enraged 12 year old because they are gonna report you can be very demoralizing and stupid. If I don't answer is like accepting their accusation to be true and if I do answer I am being called toxic and get reported aswel. So what the heck am I supposed to do? I just don't want to get chat banned...

If you aren't intentionally feeding, you can not be punished for just playing, no matter how many times people try to report you. If you verbally retaliate though, that's another story.

As long as you don't flame them and are only giving them constructive criticism you'll be fine. In the very rare chance you do get punished just send a ticket to player support telling them about your situation and a real person will review the logs and get everything cleared up.

Bad players being salty doesn't matter, there was nothing to report you for. You'll be fine, even if all nine players agree that you're the worst person ever and report you for it, because that's not even slightly against the rules.

Stay positive, don't engage in flame wars, don't stoop to their level, and mute them if it's starting to get to you.
