Objectively, the reason they're in silver is because they are better than bronze in skill level. That's kinda how the ranking system works.
If you're discussing the behavior of bronze/silver, it'd help to post more information.

You'll see that in all elos. Its not just Silver/Bronze. Its especially silly when those low MMR division 5 people say it.
between the silver5s and the bronze1s, very true.
Major difference between the silver5s and the bronze3s.
Infact, the MMR variance is around + - 2 divsions.
I honsetly do not know how I got placed in Silver.
tbh everything feels bronze until about Silver 1 ~ Gold 4, then it's a little better
