It's super disheartening

Seeing your teammates just implode and self destruct. Seeing allies progressively get more and more tilted. Watching as your slim chance of winning disappears because your team is more busy playing the blame and flame game over league of legends.

Look I get it- teammates make mistakes, and they can be frustrating. But EVERYONE makes mistakes. It does nobody any good to sit there and flame back and forth. Great, someone may have not punished their laner's roaming as well as they should have. Great. What is flaming someone for minutes on end going to do about it? Why don't we actually focus on the game and focus on what we can do at the moment? If it happens that we can't possibly win then we can surrender, but this self destructive imploding does nobody any good.

Also I know it sucks to get flamed. Nobody likes seeing it. That doesn't mean that responding back in kind or arguing all game will help the situation. You're not going to be the bigger person that way. You're only going to lower your team's chances of winning. Instead, you can be the bigger person and either mute, ignore, or just say "mb".

lol the game would be a lot easier to put up with if everyone didn't spam ping at the slightest mistake or just shut up from the start.

I've been 0/10 and ended the game 20/10, I've been 10/0 and ended games 10/15.. Only so much is in your control and sitting in base practically afk isn't going to help because now that laner who was killing you for zero gold is off farming your team who have a chance to carry team fights.

A lot of it comes down to what the team wants and what they are willing to do because in the end it is a team oriented game. If they want to afk farm their lane while you get 3v1 in the jungle or tower dove by the enemy jungle you dying is the price they pay for that. If they want you to back off, lane swap, wait for rotation you do it.

At the end of the day the only thing that matters is people try their hardest, communicate and work as a TEAM. The game is overrun by toxic childish people who are flaming you, calling for /ff and just sitting back watching teammates get killed because they dont want to die and ruin their positive KDR and are just guaranteeing the loss. If my team takes the toxic route i just /mute all put some music on and try to macro hard asf while being as safe as possible. Quitting never really crosses my mind until my team members decide they want to sit in base and no longer contribute regardless if i am the carry or the one having a bad game.

I made this account so i could play with my wife and a few family friends who are all first time MOBA players and got to watch them get flamed in their very first Blind Pick match because they died a few times trying to learn to lane again Yi and Morgana who where clearly at a minimum of high silver low gold skill level. I did my best to rotate in between them to gank and help them learn matchups. The other two watched first from a bush while doing a /ff every time it was up.

This game has a people problem. Instead of people being mad at Riot for not designing a decent match making system outside of Ranked(Not that i think the ranked match making is good either) they take it out on players.. Again this was BLIND pick mind you and it gets worse once you get into the more "serious" game modes. I mean hell they flame you for taking "Insert Champion Here" in Blind pick as a level <20 because they spam called a lane or role and you have 2 champs outside of free rotation and you are trying to learn one before jumping around.

I haven't been able to take this game seriously in a very long time because of the people in the community i just play with new players, randoms and do customs with people who want to learn about all the champs they are against, jungle clear, macro, items. Pretty much whatever anyone else wants to do while they are on.

Went off topic and into a rant, Sorry!

simple solution; /mute all and report all after every game

on one hand yeah blame game sucks on the other hand not telling a person the mistake they are making and they make it 7 more times in a row but you shouldnt say anything cause they are gonna get tilted and lash out but they arent getting any better or avoiding the mistake as far as they are concerned its not their fault or they dont see it. one of the 2 of the biggest things like that are that most mages dont feel the need to auto attack in a team fight they are safe in the back line with no one on them they throw out 2-3 spells then run like a DBD killer is behind them even when no one can possibly get to them every auto attack counts and can get enemies lower some spells are % missing hp damage yeah your 43 damage auto attack 3 times over the course of the fight could be the diffrence between an exicute and some one who survives with 20% of their hp gets a shield then gets massive healing from either allies or lifesteal. The other one being adcs taking forever and a half to follow up on an engage when their front liner goes in they wait for the front liner to go in CC wait for the enemy to come out of CC retaliate with their own spells then they start running to get into range by that time the front liner is 20% hp and then they say no point in going in now the guy is really low. when i play adc I try to keep my front liners half my attack range what ever is my attack range is im sitting half of that behind a fighter so when they go in i can go in and use my broken crit damage to kill people more than likely before they come out of the CC combo if its anyone who isnt a tank and a fed tank at that.

I think that there should be a limit you can ping someone consecutively. One or 2 pings is fine but repeated 6 pings in a row (Talon) - Alive (Talon) - Alive (Talon) - Alive (Talon) - Alive (Talon) - Alive (Talon) - Alive Is just excessive. Some people won't type so they just spam ping when they're tilted. Same effect

Good players want to win despite all of the negative energy while bad players want to throw instead.

If you get solo killed and still feed towards the end of the game. You are no better when you are a burden to your teammates.

Ah the days I could be so Naive to think "its just a game why can't we be friends we're on the same team" have long since left me friend, but I sympathize with the sentiment.

aaah yes i know that feeling and it in return makes you want to give up

Hey, this is why I use Allied chat mute feature, It has given me so much more focus on the game rather than to look at chat

Mandy Kim 9/26/2019, 5:59:42 PM1 votes

This is the thing about having a chatting system in a MOBA game.

It's a must as communication (either via pings or chat) in these kind of games, since players need to be on the same page, but with good things comes the bad. In this case, people can abuse their chatting perms and make a negative experience for everyone.

The best thing you could do is just ignore it and just mute, limiting the damage caused is the best option in this scenario.

Again, great job coming here to vent some steam, and not joining in on the flame! Best of luck to your future ranked(and even normal) games!

i always go in with the mindset. "im not faker, this isnt worlds, its okay if i miss a skillshot or two"
