I think i'm starting to see why everyone gets all these "trolls" on their teams

It's because YOU CREATE THEM YOURSELF. I can't tell you how many games i'm playing in where one player is doing poorly, then someone decides to just rip into them for NO REASON AT ALL, causing the player they're flaming to just give up and stop trying. Honestly, I rarely see people who just queue up to troll. That's like a 1 in 1000000 thing. However, I do frequently see people who stop caring after their teammates continue to flame them. And as someone who queues exclusively for support this is the worst feeling on earth because i'm not playing champions who can 1v9 if say my ADC just decides they've had enough.

This is the tangible effect flaming has. This is why riot bans for flaming. It doesn't matter if I mute them, someone on my team is trolling and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. They won't listen to me trying to calm them down, and all of this is because someone decided that they were going to be a terrible human being for absolutely no reason. I'm not condoning people who give up/soft int, i'm just saying that it would not be as big of a problem as it is if people stopped being terrible towards anyone having a poor performance.

Or because of shit like what happened to me last night.

I was playing Taliyah mid. I was down like 1/5/1. Shit KDA. I'm the reason we won that game, hands down, because while our kayn was picking people off in the jungle nobody was pushing objectives and winning.

Got called a "troll" by two teammates when I did the second most damage to champs in the team.

Not many players flame for "no reason". it's usually provoked by a player making mistakes, playing poorly, etc,.

This is the tangible effect flaming has. This is why riot bans for flaming. I

It's also ironic because banning for flaming leads to more trolls/inters because they are unable to express frustration by flaming, so they resort to inting/trolling

Caitlyn backs in the middle of the lane for the 4th time Enemy Sylas appears, stuns her, serving her for the enemy Vayne

Me: -Caitlyn could you please pay more attention to the enemy laners?

Cait goes afk

I don't think so honestly. Sure, there's some trolls that are created as a result of a teammate flaming but I've had plenty of games where someone dies like 1 or 2 times and immediately afks, start typing "go next," or flaming the jungler for not winning their lane for them before anyone has even typed anything. It's ridiculous. I feel like I have to babysit my teammates like a preschool teacher and tell them how good they are every time they do anything so they untilt and quit trolling.

Are you actually suggestion that the toxic community created trolls? What complete nonsense. If anything, it is the other way around. This community became toxic because of all the trolls that Riot let run rampant.

Either way, anyone who becomes a troll because of some toxic play must be very weak-minded. If you alter your behavior that drastically because of what some anonymous person said to you in a < 60 minute game, that doesn't say much about you, does it?

1 in a 1,000,000 roughly translates into, expect one every 35 games or so. I could write out the math and reasoning behind it but it would require a pen and a pad

It's also funny that you put no blame on the person that decided to troll. They could have easily muted and went about their game. Flaming is bad, sure, but you can mute them. That person that decides to start arguing back and then trolls instead of growing up, puts a much larger negative impact on the game.

that doesn´t make any sense.

if i call you names, and you hit me, you are the one who started a fight, not me. it makes YOU the fighter, not me the one creating one.

If someone trolls, he is a troll, if someone did provoke him, he might did, but in the end, he still remains the troll. Trolls DECIDE to troll, they aren´t made to.
