We just smashed a team and had them dead to rights.

The Yi quits The Soraka farms the jungle Me and the Renekton and a half conscious Jinx managed to steal both baron and elder from these guys we end up losing becuase it's a 3v5.

Then you know what happens? The Soraka gets an S-. And I realize that's why the Yi went Support and she took Mid - she swapped to get the jacked up CS and KDA for a role she didn't actually play. She tells the Yi when to pop back in so he doesn't get hit with LB, and I lose 29 LP.

I wish riot cared about this sort of thing more. How much of a donation do I have to make for someone to take 5 minutes and look at these two idiots records.

The game compares your gameplay to other players playing the same champ within the same role. That mid Soraka got an S- grade cos she statistically out performed other mid sorakas.
Yi would still get hit with leaver buster. In fact, people have gotten LB punishments for clicking around the fountain, AFK farming jungle, sometimes. Even AFK farming lane. You needed to report that in the post game screen.
If you lost 29 LP, it means that you are playing at a lower MMR than you are placed into. So it either means you'll be loosing consistently or if you were actually good enough, you wouldn't care about that loss cos you can make it up easily.

It doesn't. That's a common misconception.

Grades are based on the statistics of that champion in that position only.

You realize how stupid that sounds right? If what you're saying is true, noobs would never get S's. It compares you to people on your level, otherwise Faker and other professionals would have set the bars to high by now.

Pros are the top 0.00001% of LoL, and bjergsen has no problem getting Ss all the time. Pros also don't have the time to play on live servers as much (they play on tournament realm), which means the number of games they play only skews the millions of games played a day by a miniscule amount.

Realise that silver5 is the line of where 50% of LoL population is drawn. If you are silver4, you play better than 50% of the population, and that is enough to get you a S-.

At noob level, while people suck at CSing, their opponents also suck at dodging and have crappy positioning. The game is a constant fiesta where you are constantly fighting while ignoring objectives. So the stats of "damage done to champions" and "skill-shot accuracy against champions" is super high compared to the high level players.

Then again, it's the internet, you are free to believe whatever you please. My job is to present you with information, up to you to choose what to believe.

It compares you to other players in your league that play the same role/champion combination. Ofc it matters what your team does, but only indirectly because it affects how well you can perform, but you are not directly compared to your team AT ALL. They play diffrent champions and roles, so you can't be comapared to them.

You're missing some key things here. Her role was support. So she's not outperforming other Soraka mid's, she's out performing Soraka supports by having 7 kills and a ton of CS.

Having said that, yes, I went on to win the two games after that, but this isn't about my LP. It's about people cheating the system.

Even if she was assigned support in champ select, the grades are based on in-game positions.

If that Soraka spent most of her time mid, she is compared against other mid Sorakas.

I am not going to search these Boards (with its crappy search function) on something over a year and a half ago, but it was one of the grading clarification posts.

How do you think they did it before lane assignment was created before season6 or in blind pick?

Nothing will help, you just have to take the abuse and you better not say any mean hurtful things that anybody might be offended by, or you'll be the one who received punishment.

Riot doesn't care about the trolls in your RANKED games, farming S masteries for chests/tokens, they only care about how YOU react to the trolls, and trying to make this an online safe-space for all the sensitive Sallies in the world.

You don't get S- for farming jungle as support. She probably played well prior to that and after Yi quit there just wasn't much you could do.

She absolutely played well. That's not in dispute. My argument, and someone below has told me I'm wrong about this so I'd love feedback, but her KDA was being measured against other Soraka Supports when for all intents and purposes, she was a mid-laner.

Am I making sense here? If you're slotted as the support, and you have 200 CS, 7 kills, only 2 deaths, and 5 assists plus a ton of wards and objectives - as a support you're going to be in S+ territory, where as if you were being judged against other Mid-laners, you were closer to an average performance.

Despite this election-rigging, she only went home with an S- which was somehow vindicating because she cheated and still didn't get an M7 token.
