Why Do We Still Lose LP With An AFK?

I know Riot's view on this, basically "We don't want people abusing it and bullying someone into AFKing when they are losing", but at the end of the day all it takes is a slight glance at the game. Did anyone say "AFK so we don't lose LP" ? No? Then it wasn't abused. Is a premade group the one doing it? No? Then it wasn't abused.

Honestly its ridiculous that I lose full LP or LP at all because one of my teammates got tilted and rage quit before 10 minutes. Its not fair, I didn't say one word to them and no one flamed them, why do I lose because of that? We all reported them, but so what? I lost LP. Ive lost 2 promos now because someone AFK'd, it is just getting irritating.

Do you also want the LP you gain when the enemy team has an afk/leaver removed from your account?

You'd end up losing more LP than you gain (considering the enemy team has 5 players, your team has 4 aside from you, thus more afk/leave on their side statistically)

Simple answer to your question: Because you gain LP when enemy has afk and because changing it would lead to abuse.

Because having LP changes still occur during an afk game slightly benefits those who never go afk. In a way, it's promoting the behavior of not afking. If a given person never afks, odds are that there's a roughly 55% chance an afker will be on the enemy team. When looking at the season as a whole, this benefits the person who never afks. No, it's not a perfect solution, but it works. There will always be some games that are unwinnable, whether it's because of your bot lane that went 0/20 before 15 minutes, or your top laner afked.

Because of the sheer number of games that are played on a daily basis, Riot can't feasibly have a team of people manually look at every game with an afker, and judge whether or not they were trying to abuse that proposed system. But if they have an automated program for it (like leaverbuster), then people WILL find ways to abuse it. There simply is no way to accomplish such a task for such a large game, with over 100 million monthly players.

It would be great if they could, but unfortunately larger games have to handle penalties differently than smaller games.

simply answering justice doesnt exist.... flamers get away with it afkers and trollers dont get banned and so on... the system sucks either way

one possible Problem is, that some enemy just go afk cause they want deny you the victory

for example you stomp him in lane an he is angry about you so he decides to go afk so you dont get your win even if you earn it
