Would have rather not gotten in answer. (Riot Support)

I emailed Riot Support, on the appropriate medium, "Champion Updates Request".

My question was short and sweet. is there any plans for updating Talon, since he hasnt been mentioned since 4.17 over a year and a half ago.

I waited a few days, and got an email back, Instead of a simple yes or no, I receive three generic paragraphs that have nothing to do with what im talking about.

summary of question:

Is something in the works for Talon?

summary of answer:

> Strategies are always changing, and balance is hard to maintain between champions! > > Its important we dont make rash balance decisions, If a champ is too strong, the problem lies elsewhere. > > Thanks for playing LEague of legends. > > Fuck you and your question, Sincerely Mebuchan, Player Support Specialist

Honestly Riot, if i never received an email, it wouldve been better, because that shows just how much you are willing to talk to your customer If you're going to take time to read an email, i'd rather it take a month to get back to me, as long as its a humanistic response that addresses my questions. IF it was a "No, talons fine." Ok. or a "Yes, talons got something headed his way" Ok. But a three paragraph copy and paste response from the other 1000 emails you answered today, is not acceptable for "customer service".

Sincerely Tripodfay.

disclaimer no disrespect intended, I understand the company is extremely busy, and probably recieves a million of these messages a day. Im just let down you'd take the easy way out and send me some generic BS thats not related. I also expect alot of hate from this thread, but companies are going to keep treating people like this if we arent loud about it.

11/28/15 UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recieved a new email, from a different person who basically told me,

Summary

Sorry for the generic response, We dont know if talon has anything specifically to improve his kit, AD assassins are in a weak place as a whole. Thanks for going to the forums, we are working on our customer service, and hope to show our improvement over the next few months!

Thank you Riot. Thats all i wanted, I dont care about what's specifically happening, just wanted an answer regarding my question, rather than a copy pasted chain mail essentially. And if you couldnt provide me the information, i completely understand if i got an email saying "we cant tell you." I just would rather receive a relevant answer of ANY kind.

I actually agree. when you send a request and you get an email saying it might take a bit longer as a specialist is required to handle your case, then you just get a generic reply three days later. It's disappointing.

Recognizing that sending an email to any big corporation and asking specific questions about what facet of their business I wouldn't expect a dynamic answer. I would join a Reddit AMA about champ balance to ask rather than emailing the guys that get thousands of emails a day.

Why would you waste there time asking support something about balance when none of them are a part of the balance team?

How the hell are the tech support people suppose to know this? Out of the millions of questions, just go bombard Meddler about it?

I'm gonna be honest. What did you expect? Support department isn't gameplay department, this is the message you'd get about this on any large scale game.

My question is why are you emailing support, the system used to help people with problems, about if they are working on a champion, which keep in mind is handled by an entierly different team. I mean what were you expecting them to reply back with?

From the other thousand emails they received that day? I'm pretty sure they get WAY more than a thousand a day.

Support tickets are for technical problems, not to get riot's attention. You're lucky they even responded.

Once more, you don't get it.

Now, you twist the argument so that since the cashier didn't respond with "I don't know," you're still ranting and upset because you didn't get the answer you wanted.

Have you ever had a job? You're not allowed to say "I do not know." But that responder cannot run to a designer and ask questions any more than you can. There is a chain of command they have to follow. They're trained to answer the best they can with certain restraints. But say "I do not know," no, they are not allowed to do that.

From now on, if you have a balance question, post it on the forums and hope for an answer. Sending in an email and expecting a specific response is foolish at worst and naïve at best.

It's a free game, it costs you absolutely nothing to play but you make absurd references about going to the doctor; as if the service you get from a physician is in any way related to a free moba.

Your argument is redicilous! Asking about one specific champion and their place/role in the game is absurd.

Riot has had multiple Q&A's where you can post questions regarding champions but no you choose to demonize the entire company because of one canned response.

Its just silly.

Riot probably gets thousands of messages asking about stuff like this each day. I don't blame them for random, generic replies. Is there something in the works for Talon? Wait and see like everybody else. Even if there was, they wouldn't be able to tell you. It saves hours to copy and paste things rather than give customized messages.

Eh, last time I used support the guy was very nice and human. Even had a discussion about tourneys with me.

Basically what i hear from this post is cry cry "why won't Riot tip it's hand in regards to the changes that may or may no occur on any given champion, before they even get to the PBE testing ground. How unfair of the company to no single me out for information i do not need nor should i expect to be given"

These responses are automated. it sucks. like try emailing them again or something and ask for a non automated response i did that about a morgana question and i got an answer
