A symbol for allies who are chat restricted

Have you ever thought of putting a symbol for chat restricted allies in champ select? That way we can know that they aren't just ignoring the group on purpose when I ask things like 'Do you want adc or jungle?' I understand it could have some setbacks like people being discriminated against because of their chat restriction, but overall I think the benefits would outweigh the few bad cases. When someone ignores me throughout champ select, I get pretty discouraged about our chances of winning.

Chat restrictions don't apply in the pregame or post game lobby, just in the actual game so this feature would really help.

The new champion select system will solve this issue as everyone can just queue up for the position they want and it will be clear to everyone else in the lobby as well.

I think this is definitely something to put some thought into, and maybe even try out. You are right that the biggest problem is discrimination, so maybe make it optional to display the icon.

Chat restrictions DO NOT APPLY during champ-select and post-game lobby.

Get your facts straight. Other than that, no, what you're asking is branding the negattive players. That would only increase toxicity.
