So if you have the name hitler or stalin or what ever you get your name change.....

And that because they are linked to a person who did some bad things...

But the name hitler was over 60% used in the early 1900 and after the Normal hitler the name was stop used

But my user name "Giggling Granny" is linked to a person who murder 40 people and burried them....and she got that name because in the court when the judge was saying what she does she was Giggling....guess what everyone who see my user name has no problem with it

But with the A NORMAL name "Hitler" everyone is offended....

That make you wonder..what is really offensive? something that really offend us or something mainstream that the mainstream culture want to be offended by....

And that how riot work...you can put serial killer names but if they are not well known riot would not care

And i can drop the ratio a bit more if i put the name of the norwegian serial killer who kill kids in a island i would get my name change but if i put the name of a Ped-ophile that kill and rape 150 kids and burried them in his house in mexico RIOT would not even care because he is not mainstream....

So what really offensive Riot?

First things first: For people to be offended, they need to understand the reference. If something is obscure, people won't be offended, but very importantly: If something is obscure, it isn't really provocative either. I can't really provoke with something that I believe you won't understand well enough to be offended by.

That ties in very well with the second point I want to make: If you do know that something is going to be considered offensive, and you choose to still communicate it, you are ultimately being. You might have good reasons for doing what you are doing, but you are still willingly provoking others.

So with that in mind, even if your name is indeed Hitler: Your summoner name is a chosen name. if you choose the name Hitler, you are provoking people. And if the only reason you have for that is "it's actually my name" then I'd argue that's simply not enough to justify this choice. Especially given that you really should be very careful when sharing private information on the internet.

The idea is that people are getting forced name changes because people are reporting them, and they will probably go through some kind of filter to determine whether or not it needs to be changed. It wouldn't make sense for Riot to look up every individual mass murderer (or anything of the like) in order to ban the names. Things like "Hitler" and "Stalin" are banned because they are known around the world for their deeds. You don't have to agree with their determination, but that is how it is determined.

I don't see a problem with your name.

It's players who report on names. The more informed the player base is, the more likely you would be reported.

ok First off "But the name Hitler was over 60% used in the early 1900 and after the Normal Hitler the name was stop used" You do realize Hitler was his last name, right? His first name was Adolf. Therefore there are probably still a lot of Hitlers out there, unless they changed their name in shame, or died out. Same with Stalin, those are both last names. I didn't know Hitler was ever used as a first name, and it seems kinda odd... Are you sure that info is accurate? The main problem with Hitler and Stalin was that they became symbols for hate, whereas no one knows who giggling granny is, and if they do, shes just a symbol for a psychotic killer, kinda like Jack the Ripper.

I'm trying to figure out when "Nuts" became inappropriate. This is a word featured on many children's cartoons for forever.

Don't forget people are trying to erase WWII from history lessons completely, and secondly when you hear/read "Hitler" who do you think of first?

Aside from that and back on the WWII removal, people want it removed solely because it shows a dark side of humanity while others just don't want to be compared to them even tho they share similar ideologies.

Well, considering I had no clue this giggling granny was a thing in the first place I can see why your name hasn't been reported yet. Compared to a name like Hitler or Stalin, Giggling Granny is extremely obscure and the chances of someone recognizing it and being offended by it are much smaller than such infamous figures.
