Account has been permanently suspended (Probably a glitch in the system)
I have been permanently suspended with no email or indication as to why. I am positive this is a glitch in the system because I immediately contacted a friend of mine and asked if he could log on, he got the same message.
So... yeah, just reporting in... mass glitch.
............................................... Edit: The person I contacted does not play my account, nor do I play his. We have never even played on each other's computers, we have zero overlap in anything beyond playing League of Legends together online every now and then. For us to be "permabanned" on exactly the same day with no prior warning indicates this to be a system glitch.
.......................................................... Edit 2: I just got an email from 'Riot' but my email registers it as "suspicious". I have had another account permabanned a few years ago and this is not the way it was before. The content of the email also seems very different than what I expect. I strongly suspect this is a phishing scam.
The email says my account has been permabanned but does not say why. It simply says to contact support (It has a link) if I have questions. I am positive this is a scam of some type...
...............................................................
Edit 3:
I have no problem if this is a legit perma-ban. If a Rioter comes in and says I deserve it, I'd be okay with that... but this is not the same as my previous permaban almost 5 years ago, this came out of nowhere and I strongly suspect it was a glitch. If not, then
me , Riot Tantrum. I want to know what I did wrong , if anything at all.
............................................................ Edit 4: I have been wracking my brain thinking of what could have caused my account to be perma-banned, it was most certainly not toxicity, nor third party programs... but a few months ago I played on an abandoned account (A friend that no longer intended on playing it, I think his roommate now plays the account but it is out of my hands now). Those few matches on another account could have appeared to be suspicious to Riot, leading to this perma-ban on my main account for some reason.
Maybe I did deserve to be perma-banned.... I asked on the forums if it was okay for me to play it, I was told no and I stopped immediately (Dates on forum posts/account matches will sync up), but I admit I did play on another account for a few matches. That might be the reason. If it is, I find the punishment far too severe but at least I would understand. I would also wonder why it was my main account that was punished but alright.
Riot; I am here asking you to explain why my main account has been permanently banned. If I am guilty, just explain why and I will accept it, I have received no information as to what possible violation of the summoner code could have led to such a severe punishment.
........................................................... Edit 5: Still no response from the support ticket.
I thought about it very deeply and here are my conclusions; What I could have been banned for
- Toxicity; I admit it I am a toxic player, sometimes I fly off the handle and talk too much trash (Never use slurs though). If this is the reason then I will bow my head in shame , accepting my punishment as rightful even if I would consider it overly harsh. I don't think my toxicity warrants instant permaban across all punishment tiers but if that's the case I just want to know that was the reason.
- Using League Summoner Information/LSI (I used it for replays, I asked on the forums if it was okay but maybe it wasn't)
- Playing an abandoned account for a few matches several months ago (Maybe they thought I was boosting? I wasn't)
What I could NOT have been banned for
- Using third party programs (I guess unless LSI counts) , I have never used a script or hack in my life.
- Intentional feeding/afking or otherwise disruptive in-game behavior, I do talk trash but I never throw games
- Etc.
I don't even mind being permabanned , I just want to know what I did wrong... and don't tell me "We can't tell you because hackers/scripters would get information", I did NOT use hacks/scripts. If I was rightfully banned, say for toxicity, I just want to know. I will not even argue.
........................................................... Edit 6: Here is a copy of the email I got NOTE: My email account registers this as "Suspicious or Fraudulent sender"

I sent a ticket saying my account was suspiciously permabanned and I was not told why, but maybe that was not the right message to send. I hope it turns out alright.
................................................................ Edit 7: It's starting to seem that I was permabanned for toxicity, but it has been multiple years since my last punishment. Was my behavior really warranting an instant permaban? was this really the reason?
...................................................... Edit 8: My ticket has been transferred to a behavior specialist, I initially thought maybe my account was hacked so I placed it under that category. At least it means SOME progress is happening.... sigh. They acknowledged that I exist, rather than just dismissing my case outright even if they did absolutely nothing to explain what is going on.
................................ Edit 9: It's all but guaranteed that this is because of toxicity but if that's the case, shouldn't I have gotten a different login message? shouldn't the email had contained chat logs? what is the reason for keeping me in the dark? at this point I'd be satisfied if they just explained to me what the issue is.
I don't expect my account to be restored but at least I'd like to know what happened, again... the same way my first account was permabanned, it got MANY warnings, punishments and came as no surprise when I was finally banned. This time it came completely out of nowhere with no warnings, punishments or information via email/support ticket.
................................................... Edit 10: To reiterate; I was a toxic player, 100% not denying that. Punishment would not be unreasonable, but my argument is that jumping from 0 to instant perma-ban is excessively harsh.
(copy pasting from a comment I made below) 99.99% of my toxicity comes in two forms from the same scenario... but before I explain let me make clear that I never say things like "Kill yourself, figger" or "Fuck you, naggot" or anything remotely resembling that, ever, not even once. Analysis of the data will reflect this.
My toxicity is more like; [I am jungling, I go gank top lane, top laner does not react and instead stays at turret or worse, just continues to cs] [Therefore , gank fails] "Why didn't you react?! why did you afk? we could have had that" [Argument ensues] [Culminating with one of two possibilities] Me: "Yeah okay, just putting you on ignore" Or Me: "WHAT?! okay then not fighting near you again" (This especially happens when someone basically tells me it was somehow my fault that THEY didn't react, but I don't actually not fight near them, I never throw games, ever, not even once... it's just a little trash talk and analysis of the data will reflect this)
That's like 99.99% of the toxicity I present. The other 0.01% is when I get hardcore feeding teams and complain that I got a garbage team, but it is very rare. So I agree that I deserved punishment but once again, instant perma-ban seems excessive harsh and I'm hoping they will overturn it (EXTREMELY unlikely, I know). I have read many times that instant perma-bans are reserved for the most extremely toxic players and I don't think I fall within the purview of that level of toxicity.
Although to be fair, when a match is on the losing end and the surrender vote goes 3 / 2 , I ask people "why troll vote no?" or say "I don't mind losing, but I really dislike when people troll vote no in an obviously lost match" . Hmm, maybe my toxicity is higher than I thought.... I am also quick to suggest "Open mid?" when my team is getting destroyed. I never afk or throw the game, I ask and if no one agrees I just keep playing (defensively), but maybe just asking is considered high toxicity? sometimes people agree and the match ends at 10-15 minutes but my point is, if people don't agree I don't just start rushing turrets (Intentional feed) or afk at fountain. I keep going even when the match is obviously over (Say, 1-20 by 12 minutes).... sometimes it can be like 8-8 but we've lost like 5 turrets (And they've lost zero), every dragon, herald and we're being severely outmaneuvered at which point I will suggest "Open mid?" but to repeat yet again; when no one agrees I keep playing... when everyone agrees, we just let the match end.
My continued point is; I don't think any of this warrants going from 0 to instant permaban... does it? if it does, if Riot considers this to be egregious enough, I'M FINE WITH THAT. But this stonewalling / radio silence is incredibly frustrating. ................................................ FINAL EDIT: Dominick Destine Monday at 19:09
My account was suspiciously permabanned with no warning signs. I suspect it has been hacked or otherwise compromised.

Summoner,
We have a Player Behavior team in place dedicated to working with these requests, so I need to transfer your ticket. A Player Behavior Specialist will be contacting you as soon as they can.
Please keep in mind that we respond to tickets in the order we receive them, so ‘bumping’ your ticket by sending us additional messages will send it to the back of our queue. This might inadvertently delay our response :(
Thank you for your patience!

Alright thank you. I originally thought my account might have been the victim of some type of hack but if you are transferring me to a behavior specialist this means that it is related to toxicity of some type.
I appreciate the response and hope that this is some type of error, while I admit that I am indeed guilty of toxicity, jumping into an immediate perma-ban seems overly harsh but if that was the assessment of the Riot team then I would be satisfied with simply knowing it was not a mistake and they judged me with fairness rather than an error.
(I also realize that by responding, my ticket will plummet down to last, damn it)

Hi there,
Looking at the account I am not seeing any signs of compromise or unauthorized access.
This ban was placed on your account due to rude behavior on the account. It seems insulting others, being passive aggressive, and having a negative attitude is a common thing in your games. This kind of behavior is looked down upon in the community and that is why action was taken.
However, we like to give players the chance to improve behavior before they are permanently banned. Since that is the case I will reduce your ban to two weeks. Please take this suspension seriously seriously because if this behavior continues, a permanent ban will be placed on the account. As long as this type of stuff doesn't happen again, you won't need to worry.

This was a terrifying experience to seemingly go from zero to perma-ban and because of it, I will strive to improve my behavior from here onward to ensure there is never a risk of losing my account again.
Thanks Shaky.
Phew. Though I still think that a two week suspension out of nowhere is a bit harsh, it is infinitely preferable to the seeming perma-ban I was facing. I am extremely relieved and am glad that the perma-ban was overturned.
This is a very spurious, unresearched, speculative statement; I think that I was accidentally dumped into the perma-ban pile and then when I sent a support ticket, they analyzed my account in depth, realizing that it is not worthy of going from zero to perma-ban.
If Riot was a bad company, they would have been like "Fuck him, he's toxic" but they instead reflected upon the situation and overturned a perma-ban, something I've very rarely seen them do. My faith and loyalty to them is greatly strengthened and they have justified every single defense I have done of them.
(Or summarized, I think they made a mistake... what a lot of people don't understand, making mistakes is impossible to avoid, what matters is what a person/company does in response to those mistakes, this time, if I am right, they realized that it was severe overkill to insta-permaban me and they corrected the mistake. To me that means they care and are willing to do what's right, I am very pleased)
