How seriously does Riot take ingame sexual harassment?

Odd topic for a video game, I know. I have played since preseason one and for the first time a player actually made me feel uncomfortable in match. I have had every kind of internet insult thrown my way over the years but this one player is the first to really bother me.

He spent all game pestering me asking how old I was, if I was a guy or girl and saying we should date. I simply refused to answer his questions and when he asked if we could date I said no. He just kept fucking asking. "We should date" "wanna facetime?" "heres my discord lets facetime" "saddle up" "I bet you are sexy" "I just wanna date you". I get that it was probably some dumbass just trying to be funny or something but I have never encountered this before. How seriously does Riot take reports on stuff like this?

I didn't really care until I said no and he kept pestering. All fucking match. Another player commented on how the team should report him for harassment and he just said 'lul' and kept going.

Mute and report them. I searched through all of your games for the text you posted and didn't find it anywhere nor did I find any evidence of a reported game containing this type of behavior.

The first thing to point out is that you don't have to put up with this guy. Just mute him as soon as he looks like he's going to be a problem. It's not like he's suddenly going to start using the chat productively...

I don't know that there's a specific policy on sexual harassment, except insofar as it is a form of harassment. Harassment in any form is absolutely unacceptable and will be punished accordingly, provided that the person gets reported.

Sorry you had to put up with this.

I can't tell if this is a troll post or if you just don't know how to mute

I'm sorry this happened; some people don't have tact. [sg-soraka] Don't need to team-report him though, a single report will indeed flag the game. Make sure to type some stuff into the comment box to narrow it down for Riot too.

Generally it escalates the account to a 14-day ban, I'm pretty sure. It's grouped with racial slurs/suicide.

I once pretended to be a girl to show someone who was being sexist up. He immediately began flirting and being very inappropriate as well as try to 'buy' me with skins. It was so gross and i sincerely feel bad you had to experience that kind of thing, i apologize for that subsection of my gender, we're not all that bad I swear. :(

I'm curious, and I hope I convey no offense by asking this:

If you refused to answer, did he continue to sexually harass you without any confirmation of your sex? That seems super odd to me. Then again, I don't exactly know how the mind of somebody like that would work.

Evelynn much? mute him and report him

You probably should have muted him but I see you already discussed that with several other users.

I hope you reported him, Riot does take this sort of behavior seriously. You can submit a support ticket to Riot to get the player's behavior looked at more closely.

Just say "Fuck off" and be done with it. Mute them if you have to.

Same thing just happened to me and I looked it up to get the same question answered.

I just came from a game that I was playing with my girlfriend. She's fairly new and still learning the game, but she didn't mind playing against higher levels if I could play with her and teach her either way. In a game I just played, she was doing poorly. A Twisted Fate and a Braum on our team were being toxic, so I mentioned that she was my girlfriend and that I was teaching her. (Yes, I know that in itself was a mistake, but they were starting to get offensive rather than toxic and I felt like I had to explain.) The rest of the game, however, they started making serious jokes about sexual harassment. "btw teemo I'm gonna rape your girl after this" "she's a whore" I told them from what I know, that level of sexual harassment could possibly be a perma ban, and the Braum responded "doesn't matter if I get some tight virgin p*ssy" It was bad enough that she was actually scared and stopped playing. I don't know what the level of punishment can go, but I was personally really offended and just curious. Thanks.
