Flamed for not being M7 Skill with Pyke (Or the "Day 1 main" attitude)

Anyone else seeing this, cuz I am seeing it more and more often. With each new champ, it seems this community cant pull the stick out of thier ass. Flaming and degrading players for being "trash" at NEW CHAMPIONS. They sit there and flame people for not being pro skilled with a New champ. I got flamed and called a troll because I was still learning how pyke worked, experimenting in normal draft.

But this sense of entitlement when it comes to how well your team performs is becomming more common, flaming and degrading players for not being LCS skill with a champ only hours after its release. So this community thinks so highly of itself, players arent allowed to be unskilled with NEW champions anymore. If you play a new champ and make a mistake, your team will tear you a new one for not having instantly mastered the mechanics, or being unfamiliar with how a champ works.

Fucking GET OVER YOURSELF ALREADY. Yes, Players can be BAD with a NEW champ that has JUST BEEN RELEASED!

Just mute them and concentrate on your own play. That said with any new champ I'd recommend at least giving them a quick run in practice tool so you have a basic understanding of how their abilities work.

OH I usually do do that, but people seem to expect thier whole team to EZ carry on any new champ, and flame/degrade them if they happen to gasp Underperform. Heaven forbid they should be unfamiliar with a champ that wasnt released untill just hours ago.

his entire kit is simple.

it's not the person playing pyke that has no idea how to use the champ. its the people on pykes team that have no idea how to play alongside pyke.

yeah its funny because I remember when bard came out, one of the biggest calls was "Report Bard for leaving adc" People would call for reports on bard because he was roaming through the jungle to collect chimes" And yeah as I was playing Pyke and getting ult kills, teammates would flame me telling me I dont know how to support, how I am not supposed to take kills, and other such bs

common sense tells you that if someone has spend the 7800 BE or the RP that they're either genuinely excited about the champion or they're loaded with cash. more often than not they're excited and probably have done more research than anyone else.

Lots of people are horribly toxic about new changes and complain and harass you that you don't have the optimal build with runes and items and play styles on the first day of changes.

Sorry but there's a learning curve and we don't all sit there and copy LCS players.

Some of us just play the game and pick builds based on our play style since our play styles aren't always the same as LCS players.

I absolutely hate how toxic some people get.

Thats one of the reasons I cant stand the "meta cultists" The religion of "meta" has gone fundamentalist and now anyone who doesnt blindly follow LCS, who doesnt build what you are "supposed to build" (aka "The pros build this so you have to as well, you arent allowed to have your own build") gets beaten over the head and degraded. No matter what they try and do or how well you manage to do with a personal build, its still "trolling" in thier opinion (and they will remind you againa nd again how hard they are gonna report you for your "trolling")

Yeah My play style is very poke heavy, very mobile, Hit and run. But thats not allowed because god forbid someone have a personal playstyle that works for them rather than the one-size-fits-all, cookie-cutter playstyle/builds that you are apparently "supposed" to use.

I actually had someone flame me for being against the "cult of meta" I mean the players who treat the meta like a fundamentalist religion and want to burn at the stake any player who dares to think for themselves and not just blindly follow the LCS meta. "He is against following the meta builds and doesnt want to take chances (in regards to our Adc quitting and the person saying "its ok, she will come back). Who is this clown?"

Yeah how dare people think for themselves, the sheer nerve of not blindly following the LCS decrees. You build what THEY tell you, not what you decide you want to build....

Haven't played Pyke outside practice/bots yet. Mostly because I'm spamming Butcher's Bridge and also need to get my shit together with Jhin so I can get my 10k this month. But people are fucking idiots, and you should just mute and report them. Like, I'm sorry mastery 7 Pyke main, would you like to play him instead? You sound like you're a god with him. To be honest though it sounds like they're either jealous because they can't play him/too poor to buy him or are just looking for an excuse to get banned. People will flame you for literally anything, though.

yeah I definately report them, same way I report people who spam "report X for...." Spamming for reports is considered a form of harrassment, though people refuse to believe it.

IN a bout of sheer hillarity, I just got out of a match which we lost because My adc flipped out at me for ulting with pyke "If you want to take kills, then dont play support. Support isnt supposed to take kills, they are supposed to give kills to the adc and die to protect thier adc" Yeah take that shit back to season 2. I am sick of listening to these traditionalists who refuse to actually evolve with the game. I told them "Riot made pyke as an assassin support." and they respond "Then that is Riot's fault, but dont go for kills if you play support"
