Obnoxious, entitled playerbase spells the end for league By the end of S9

I really cant wait for this game to die off after season 9. And really hoping more and more people drop this game. Downvote me all you want, but Leagues "declining popularity" is really gonna ramp up in season 9.

This community has become coddled, entitled, and obnoxious to the point that league does need an extinction event or mass exodus as a whole. This community is so full of themselves that they will throw around phrases like "kill yourself" or "enjoy ur ban" at anyone who doesnt do what they say. I had a vayne who pretty much dropped to the ground kicking and screaming because I took farm as support (I dont respect this community enough to extend the courtesy of "Supports shouldnt take farm". I am just as entitled to farm/cs as vayne is. Its a courtesy, not an obligation) So vayne, being forced to share farm with a support, dropped everything and spent the entire game talking about how as a support, I wasnt even worthy of being in the same lane as her, this attitude that "You are a support, you arent even a person. Now go throw yourself at the enemy so I can get a kill, lane-slave!"

This game touts itself as a team game, then turn around and tells every single player "you ARE a solo carry, You dont need a team. Anyone who doesnt do what YOU say is trolling" (and seriously.....FUCK OFF with calling -everything- trolling/inting/greifing/etc. Someone not picking the champ you want, or not selecting from your pre-approved list of summoner spells/items does not mean they are trolling by default) Yeah so you beat the community over the head with "you are a solo carry, you dont need a team, You ARE the team" and then wonder why obnoxious asshats who think they are "too good for this trash team" as they put it...poison the whole fucking community.

I have no respect for ranked I have no respect for this community I wouldnt recommend this game to a fucking goldfish

League is bleeding out players, losing money. and yet they plug thier ears when people tell them there are flaws in the community and ban players because some toddler who thinks too highly of themselves (as in the people who think they are the next "Faker") cry because someone told them they arent as OP as they think they are. This community has become spoiled, obnoxious, self-obsorbed, and more interested in thier "solo carry" kills than actually winning. I mean I had a match where it was over 30 Minutes in, the score was like...28 v 5, and players were still going off at the mouth about how "superior" they were because "insert kda here". I have said it before and I will say it again. This community does NOT want to win thier matches. They only want to be the most Polished turd in the shitbowl. Who cares about winning your match, when you can sit around talking about how "trash" your team is because they arent 17/2 like you...while at the same time you havent touched a single tower and are staring at a defeat screen. and yeah, these are the same people who will label someone a troll for something as stupid as "You cant build THAT you are >insert role/champ here<"

But what do I know as a season 3 player. I mean in will come the downvotes and flames telling me how stupid I am because of kda or winstreak or whatever random stat they can throw. And people will act like each lane is played in a vacuum and how the actions of ONE player (like a temper tantruming vayne) can have consequences on another (such as an entire enemy team getting fed and leading to a loss while vayne cries about being "bullied" by being forced to actually share cs with another player.

Really cant wait for that mass exodus of players. see how much fun league is to play when you have to wait 20+ minutes for it to scrounge enough players. But keep telling me how I am just a troll for being able to see a bigger picture. League is hemorrhaging players, Losing more players than it is attracting. Its losing money, thats why Esports is bleeding funds. And league is declining in popularity (and I am happy to steer people away from this smug cloud of a game). It may be too late for me, but at least I can keep others away from this community. And I am predicting that it will only get worse by the end of season 9. Stop advertising yourself as a team game, then telling your players "You are too good, you dont need a team!" Just slapping a new feature,or your "role ranking" means shit all if you arent able to actually attract new people. And the way your community looks is out and out disgusting. Nothing but obnoxious, self absorbed elitists who see themselves as "above' thier team. All I here is everyone constantly saying how they "cant carry this dumpsterfire/trash team" team doesnt perform to your expectation? Just spend the entire game telling everyone how garbage they are and how they are OBVIOUSLY inting, so please report that player who got cc'ed to a standstill and 4v1 ambushed.

Yeah you can mute it all you want, but unless you want to create a society of sociopaths (too late, leagues community breeds them like a factory) Then stop pushing the "solo carry" but still expect people to play like its a team game. This game used to be enjoyable, creative, inventive. Now this community is so wrapped up in thier smug self importance just thinking about it makes me want to vomit. Everyone thinks the whole game is not about working to destroy the nexus by fighting through towers. No, its now about fighting over who has the most rediculously bloated kda without even trying to win. I have had matches where players reach 30+ kills (highest I remember was like...37/5 kda), not a single tower touched because they are chasing every kill that shows up. and turning around and spamming for "report my trash team for inting". And when someone brings up "Hey stop chasing kills and help us take towers", the NPC response is to regurgitate thier kda back at them "stfu ur 1/4, trash" or "stfu u got >insert unconventional item here<" I have been instantly labeled a troll simply for taking summoner 11 while not a jungler (yeah I have a personal use for it. Just taking smite in a non jungler role doesnt make me a troll by default, but its used as an easy scapegoat response. "Hey, stop chasing kills and help us take towers" "Stfu u have smite. U dont get to say anything"

So yeah, Keep downvoting, keep telling yourself how totally amazing you are as this vile community rots the game from the inside out. Keep telling yourself how on a TEAM oriented, OBJECTIVE based game...you are just TOO good and you dont need a team. But if you lose? you have 4 people to choose from to instantly throw under the bus to protect your fragile, coddled ego. Because Why should YOU have to take any responsibility for a loss when you abandoned your team to farm a double digit kda. 28/3 while your team dies defending objectives you thought were beneath you, just go ahead and report them for inting, they obviously were when they died under thier own tower.

Once again, this community will destroy league, the arrogance and condescending "better than thou" attitude will make this game even more unappealing. Its already known world wide for the "#1 most toxic community" a well earned title and this community fights every day to defend it. So yeah, I am counting the days till season 9, waiting for those 15 minute wait times as more and more players abandon this diseased shell, destroyed by its own community.

As a player who started in season 3 before the downfall when league pushed for the full "solo carry" aspect. Here is a video from the wayback machine, before Riot decided solo kills and the "solo carry" was more important. Before Riot decided thier "esports" push and building the game for the "pros" (not the players) was more important. (dont piss on me and tell me its raining)

Considering you have a crystal ball and can see the future, perhaps you can do something more positive like making some stock predictions or perhaps some winning lottery numbers.

You also seem just as toxic as the people you're complaining about.

Why the fuck are you playing the game if you hate it and refuse to play as a team then?

Also supports dont take the gold because its best for the team. Its why the support meta even exists.

If you dont want to play as a support (there none of this not taking cs is a courtesy LEGIT THE ONLY REASON SUPPORTS EXIST IS TO NOT TAKE GOLD) then play as 1 of the FOUR other roles.

Lets not pretend that arrogant players boasting about their KDA are the only thing contributing to League's decline. They don't help, but they're far from the only problem. They're not even the worst player behavior problem!

Riot's stuck trying to balance between "you can make a difference" of solo carry dreams and "the team with the worst player loses" of random teammate reality. From what I've seen, the consensus is that they err'd too much on the side of "worst player loses", and actually drove more players away that way because games felt entirely up to luck in matchmaking. As with all balance trying to target one demographic or another, swaying one way will displease one group and swaying the other will displease the other, and both sways will cause some people to be frustrated enough to leave.

You've also got constant balance changes, new champions, reworks, reverts, item changes, etc, that require you to keep up with. Set the game down for a few months and suddenly everything's different and you're starting back at square one. The mental upkeep with this game makes it easier to stay out once you fall away than to get back in.

You've got questionable offerings like the Worlds Pass that require grinding like you don't have a life, causing some players to decide it's not worth their continued patronage. You've got questionable behavior from Riot themselves with the sexism in the workplace fiasco, again turning people away.

You've also got competitors fighting for attention. Fortnite is so easy to understand and start playing compared to League that you'd be crazy to try and bring a new player to League instead, especially since you'd have to tutor said player for months before they were any decent at the game.

All of this and more are reasons why the game is on the decline. Don't go patting yourself on the back for listing a minor issue and saying the game is going downhill from it, look at the bigger picture.

PS: I don't believe Riot has ever said that eSports was intended as a direct way to generate revenue, they went into eSports planning on spending more than they'd make back in tickets with the gamble that they'd keep player interest and drive up interest in skins. Saying they're bleeding money in eSports is like saying "everything is going according to plan."

I don't even recognize the game you're describing. Sure, there are occasional players that don't want to win, but those are pretty rare.

You haven't played on this account since February, so I'm curious why you choose to post on this account, rather than the one you're playing on, and we could see these matches where players are supposedly not trying.

tl;dr - sniped a few random cs as support(probably autofilled), braindead trash cancer adc started toxic raging like the 14 year old sjw he is and running it down, support toxic flamed back to the adc in retaliation(completely fair because his game and experience were purposely being ruined by cancer), support gets banned by riot because riot is just the absolute greatest company ever created on this entire planet and does absolutely everything with perfection.
