Do you want to know how to reduce toxic behavior?

Fix matchmaking.

90% of the time people are toxic because the skill level between players in the game is WAY OFF. I'm not talking about a little, I mean there is a colossal difference in skill level between players, leading to people being 0/10 , 10/0. Its not fun when you are 1/1 in your lane and a fed kha comes to gank you with 10 kills at 8 minutes and 1 shots you. Can you really blame people for getting pissed off?

fix your matchmaking, its honestly terrible. I'm not sure how a company as big as yours can fail so hard at one of the most important aspects of your game.

It really isn't that off. Sure, I get placed with people who are Plat+ on a rare occasion, but that's like 1 in every 8-10 games, and I'm a Silver.

The real issue with the toxicity is the attitude problem that many players have from what I've seen, on all levels that I've been placed with and against. That attitude problem is what I have seen that can make or break a game: Enemy team does well, gets super cocky about it, gets pushed back, and loses. Then they rage at each other. My own team isn't doing well, they end up calling each other a wave of insults, ranging from "you're bad" to "you're cancer", to even worse, and my team loses. Likewise of both scenarios in reciprocal.

The issue isn't with skill placement; the issue with the toxicity in this game is with the attitude of the community.

It probably isn't 90% from skill level like the OP says it is but it is a noticeable percentage and it's very naïve of you to think that it's not a problem or "real issue" because it really is. Attitude is also part of the problem but I don't believe for one second that one outweighs the other because I have experienced plenty of both. I can get around the attitude by muting but I can't get around less skilled players and have to suffer for 15 to 20 minutes before I can escape. Toxicity is bred from that suffering, don't kid yourself.

And again automatic reduction of importance of post are hitting. The trolls are very good at attacking everyone trying to make Riot fix problems instead of blaming ourselves. IT is our fault we cannot win alone. It is our fault we get toxic people, as if we were good we won't get them :D
