Is it really necessary? such hyper draconian levels of moderation seem brobdingnagian to say the least.

(inb4 this thread is deleted and I get suspended for even questioning the extreme level of draconian moderation)

Maybe because so many people just rage report at the guy who had a shitty game, such that it becomes rather hard to pick it the actual feeders.

Meanwhile chat based punishments come with imperial evidence that can't be argued against.

My main is banned and my troll account is still restriction free, just think about it for a second. Troll account is already 2 years old :) did both trolling and intentional feeding.

When I played on a new account, the bronze players would straight up intentionally feed regularly and were never punished.

Well I always have an option to say "fuck you" in chat every game and get permabanned easily, if I ever get bored of trolling.

Since riot can't do it themselves I must ban my account myself.

inb4 I didn't play on this account for few months, didn't ever troll and I will get banned.

I'd be less questioning of the draconian moderation if they were at least a little more consistent.

They seem to specifically home in on speciifc targets.

Other countries (Korea I believe) have a much different culture, and as Riot is trying to avoid having different assets for different regions, they removed it across the board

Seriously, the amount of shit I have gotten away with is proof the mods are not that strict. The worst I have ever received was a 1 day ban, and that was after spamming relentlessly all day.

GD exists precisely to be more like the old forums. I'd recommend posting there where there is considerable more leniency if that's the kind of community you want to be a part of.

I am asking if the ultra draconian system is necessary, if no one ever speaks out against it, it can never be fixed...... someone has be the one that speaks about the emperor's clothing but fear of retaliation prevents most people from doing it.

I don't want to be subject to punishment but ironically, if I am to be punished for asking questions about draconian systems, it would prove my point.

I understand your point, there's just nothing valid about it. GD was set up just for you, and the boards for everyone that prefers the more strict moderation. You can't come here and demand it be the same as GD; well, you can, but nobody cares. Join the community whose values align with your own rather than trying to change every community that does not.

Based on what? moderation is ultra draconian.... that's a fact, my question is; is it necessary? If your argument is "You shouldn't ask that question" you're also effectively proving my point. The question is not unreasonable.

It's like not like I was going on a mad rant about how "RIOT IS SONS OF BUNNIES AND EAT A LOT OF ROGAN JOSH IN THEIR PAJAMAS" (Except replace certain nouns there with other nouns that are considered offensive by moderation)
