There are plenty of single-player games for free online

If you don't like (can't handle) the unrated social interaction between players which is present at all levels of any competitive multiplayer video game, then MOBAs are not the right game for you. MMORPGS are more your style.

Edit: If you can't understand the point-- this isn't some rant by someone who's been banned. I've never been punished by Riot in my 4 years of playing. But from that experience, I've found that no matter what there's going to be people who are rude.

I've seen the message that a player was punished for a report. It's good, but it makes virtually no difference that one player among the thousands who are prone to give in to the atmosphere of competitive games was chat-restricted.

Non-competitive games have a much nicer atmosphere by their very nature. If a teammate messes up, the mission can be done again. No big deal. But this is not one of those games.

If you can't handle the normal player interactions of competitive games, then the genre is not for you. Simple as that. Plenty of fun, free games have better communities than this one.

This is the summoner's code. By playing League of Legends, you agree to follow it. If you do not follow it, you are the one breaking the rules, and other players have the obligation to report you. Insulting and demeaning other players is officially not permitted.

If you can't communicate with other humans without being insulting that begs the question who is incapable of handling social interaction; and subsequently who would be better off in a single player game.

Alternatively, players could not be dicks to one another in-game.

I like that option more.
