I wonder if Riot ever decides to unban perma banned players for an experiment, more inside

The experiment im talking about is seeing if Riot decides to unban perma banned accounts but give the player a warning with the account that if they do anything worthy of a ban even once the account goes back to being perma banned to see if any of those people truly reformed.

Now not all accounts get unbanned. You wont get unbanned unless you do the following:

They give the statement then you contact through support saying you won't do anything ban worthy again but the moment you do 1 thing bannable your account goes back to perma ban.

HOWEVER THESE THINGS WILL DISQUALIFY YOU

  1. Indefinite ban on the player.

  2. Account hasnt been suspended for more than 1-2 years.

  3. Account had numerous warnings and bans on it before the perma (say got warned, then chat restricted, then 2 day ban, then 2 week, finally perma banned).

  4. Account was sold, boosted, or was banned for scripts and game exploitation (azir turrets spawn anywhere).

  5. Account was banned within 6 months of creation.

Not saying they should, just wondering if they ever talked about it.

They did run such an experiment before, where if you were permabanned, you can write in to get a 2nd chance.

Riot will link them to an alt account where they have to play till lvl 20 and if they didn't get punished, they will get their account back.

The result was 99.9% failure.

about 80% of permabanned players didn't deserve it and wouldn't be even touched in something like, i dunno, world of warcraft

They already tried giving permabanned players another chance.

Pretty much everyone failed.

There was a time (I think around season 2) where they unbanned some permabanned players to see if they reformed after several months. I believe it was 98% of players got permabanned within a month. So its unlikely to ever be looked at again

They have tried things like it, and they have removed perma bans in the case of pro player known as Jensen. but they perm ban people for just consecutive toxic games now. no warnings just straight up
