Let us mute pings from specific players holy shit (audio AND visual).

I've played with ping audio muted for 2 years now.

This game is still almost unplayable because of people spamming fucking pings all game and distracting me. I want them completely hidden (for troll teammates). Audio, visual, and chatbox. COMPLETELY hidden.

"But this will ruin team communication" - if I have a troll on my team I'm already ignoring ALL pings, including those from legitimate teammates, because I don't have time to check who's actually making the ping. So the trolls are ALREADY ruining communication.

I would honestly love the ability to do this. Most of the time, I can deal with the pings. It's pretty rare that I have someone being a complete asshat with them. But when they do? Ugh. It makes it so hard to concentrate when someone is spamming that fricking ping every chance they get. And if I drop the ping volume for everyone, I end up being unable to hear pings from the players I actually need to listen to.

I think they just need to make it so that you can only ping like 3 times in quick succession and then a short time out before letting you ping again. Right now I think the ping limit is like 6... and then the cooldown is barely anything.

doesn't /ignore @champion do that? when I'm pissed off in a game I do that to people and I never hear ANYTHING from them. Maybe I'm wrong about that command. I haven't really found out what it does besides mute them

Would deleting the sound files from our client side or rendering them useless be a bannable offense? I mean it doesn't really give any unfair advantages and its not scripting or hacking.

I just finished a game where i pinged the Nami support to fall back because she was engaging a 1v3 at 1 minute into the game. For the next 34 minutes she would ping danger on me. Fun game.

..Ping spam amazingly doesn't affect the vast majority of people. Not everything can/should be used an excuse.
