Independent Thought = Trolling in 2018

Yeah I am getting sick and fucking tired of these lobotomized meta sheep who feel its thier rightous duty to stamp out independent thought, personal strategy, personal choice, and any sort of independent element to League. I KNOW Riot has said They will not punish for having personal builds and paths and such. But I am sick of these "better than though" meta sheep who go out of their way to browbeat you over the head for not building what you are "supposed to build"

I just got out of a match where I dared build on support. Helped Me GTFO when a fight turned sour. But Meanwile our MID LANE Is calling for reports on me through all chat for "Trolling" and constantly going on about how "You are a support...You are supposed to build...." and went on to rail off the LCS approved meta items for supports. The pre-approved selection. And Even galio told me "If you build what you are supposed to build, you wouldnt be labeled a troll" this after i told them it was a personal strategy. But nope, they both were calling for reports on me for trolling, telling me how dumb/retarded I am, and how I clearly dont know how to play.

THIS IS WHY I do not build meta, Why I see the Meta as a fundamentalist CULT. They want only the meta to be allowed and any independent strategies or personal builds to be a bannable offence. They spend more time beating thier team into building the "proper" items and telling players what they are "supposed to build"

Get off your high horse. It really sickens me. This community is so busy acting like their shit dont stink, and everyone is so fucking report-happy that now someone having a personal strategy is deemed "Trolling", not playing at a challenger teir skill level is now "inting" And I am sure Riot approves of this mentality because it gets the mindless lobotomized sheep to watch the LCS so they know the latest passages to the LCS Meta bible which they will use to go into battle and beat thier team over the head with.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I refuse to join your cult. I have my own mind and will continue to think for myself So call off the Cult fanatics, Riot.

Yommus on Janna IS trolling. You don't have to follow the meta, you can build whatever you want as long as it's viable on your champ. Building a lethality item on an AP support is pretty much trolling and both you and me know that. Janna got a knock back, a knock up and a slow, you got all the disengaged you need.

Just because you don't follow the meta doesn't mean you can build whatever the fuck you want.

People calling you an "idiot" or "retarded" because you're building yourself off meta is deplorable, but perhaps you were a little too off meta with that item 3142 on Janna . ( doesn't excuse their behavior though )

You're free to build off-meta if it works. What "bothers" me is that even though you play Support, you've had enough playing with your team, and thus, build something for yourself, and not something that will help you fulfill your role as a Support.

The bonus MS that item 3142 gives is nice, sure. But it's an AD item. A lethality one. What else is interesting other than the bonus MS for Janna?

You say that Janna AA. Yea, she does, but Janna is not here for the damage input, she's there for the shields and the heals, thus, it is considered "meta" to build AP Support items on her.

Like another person said, if you want the bonus MS, pick item 2065 . It gives you the same active as item 3142 but has stats that are useful for Janna.

If your off-meta builds work in your favor, then, it's good. But if it works for you and not your team, there's a problem, because League is a team-based game.

If you're a Support but your strategy can't help you fulfill your role as a Support, there is a problem. ( except if you're playing a Support that can be a APC I guess )

So I am not allowed to build anything unless its for the team. But if the team abandons me to chase a kill and lets me get 4v1'ed, suddenly its MY fault and I need to learn to "play for yourself and improve YOUR game".

If you're a Support, you're building items to help your team. ( except if you're a mid laner but picked it as Support, like , Velkoz , Xerath and more, because they have damage in their kit and nothing to support with except CC )

If your team chases for kills, you can't stay on your own as a Support. It's sad, but if your team decides to throw the game, there's little you can do as a Support. Supports aren't the best at taking objectives.

Perhaps your team was mad at you because, sure, they left you alone, but you decided to not follow them. I can understand why you decided not to ( 5 people chasing one guy seems ridiculous ) but you somehow exposed yourself in order to get 4v1'ed. Perhaps you were trying to take a tower on your own. I don't know.

Even if it's annnoying, you need to put up with your teammates. You can't win without them, and a 1v5 as a Support is impossible.

I've had times when I had to do things I didn't want to do. For instance, I've lost my lane as ADC. I'm now trying to get something else in other lanes, but my other teammates, instead of helping my Support and me push mid, are all farming in the jungle. Now the enemy botlane is here and we can't take the mid turret.

And just like that, because the team doesn't want to group, you lose turret after turret, objectives after objectives. The team thirsts for kills when we should be trying to push and get turrets.

Yes, a team that thinks that kills are the sole reason you win games or just want kills to have a K.D.A they can brag about is infuriating.

Countless times my Support and I destroyed bot. Doesn't matter if your team doesn't listen when they've been struggling or just want kills to make their K.D.A look better.

You need your team to win. That's just a fact.

Do you honestly think this is the best item you can build in the given situation?

I could call running down mid and hitting the tower once a time a "personal strategy" but it is pure trolling....

Well did Ghostblade helped your team in any way? If you really wanted an item for quick escape you could build item 2065 , it does the same thing, but it's useful for your teamand more useful for you.

Why not use a shirelia reverie instead? However you spell that item.

It gives more passive move speed, AP and an AOE speed up.

That said, everything works at low ELO, but it's probably better for you to improve at the mechanics of the game instead of trying creative stuff like this. When you are good enough, all off-meta builds work.
