Sore Winner's, you know who i'm talking about.

People that when they beat you they constantly brag during end game screen, or in game for that matter. People that keep insulting you even after the games already lost, whenever you talk back to them all they say is "YOUR SALTY, SALTY, SALTY, SALTY!!!! HAHAHAHAHA! LUL! XD" or something.

These people are the most obnoxious people to deal with, and 90% of the time their only goal is to piss you off so that if they lose they can report you. Even though they were the one who instigated it and if they had won would, they 100% would have been bragging to their friends at grade school.

The best way to deal with those kinds of people is to not respond to them. They are fishing for people to feed into their negativity. So mute them, and treat them like spoiled bratty children: even though you want to hit them, the best way to hurt them is to make them feel like insignificant pieces of shit.

as an aside, i personally hate it when someone on either team who is steamrolling flashes their mastery after doing something like killing someone under their tower who's having a bad game

it just feels mean-spirited, and i tend to report it if they do it more than like 3 times in a game

EDIT: 2 clarify, i dont have a problem with the mastery emote's general use when it's not being used for excessive BM. i, for example, love using it when i die, or using it when pentakills happen.

it's one thing to do it after a cool play; it's another thing to spam it to try to tilt people. it doesn't exactly fill me with rage, but it comes off as unsportsmanlike

Cool. So when you hit tab in-game, there is a box beside the champions box. One has mute emote. I'd recommend that if emotes offends you when someone uses it. Honestly the things people get salt about. Its a emote get over it. Worry about your game play than someone emoting LOL.

I feel like if they pulled of an outplay then they should be able to do it. Maybe if they 1v3 or more or 1v5 but get a few kills against the entire enemy team. At that point i feel like they deserve to flash a mastery or something.

I flash a mastery emote if I pull something off that is skill based and challenging (bait a morg q while I'm under my tower, flash-q over it for the knockup, and then w her under my tower so my retreating 1 hp ezreal can land his q at max range at the last second for the kill). If I merely get a good combo that leads to a successful team fight, I'm not flashing the mastery. That's just playing the game. I've gotta do something impressive before i become a loud-mouth braggart. :D

That being said, if I do something spectacularly STUPID i will also flash mastery (or some other emote) to show my heartfelt shame. Fail to flash over a wall and die? Smite baron 50hp too early? Accidentally flash INTO a nunu ult? Yeah, I'm emoting with pengu. :\

well its not about it being done to me. i don't really like to see anyone do it, my team or not. i feel like you twisted my words i dont mind other people doing it on their pentakills either. it's really a case-by-case basis, i didnt mean for it to come across as me policing use of the mastery emote

like say a jungler camps a top laner, and flashes their mastery every time they kill them. by the third time, it starts to seem mean-spirited.

all taunting is being a dick somewhat. as you said its all about attitude and intent. i rarely say it but when i do i am feeling mischievous. i say it with a little smile on my face just like a guy who says 'how about them bears?' after his buddys team lost.

it is pure all in good fun taunting. but just like every other form of taunting you know how you meant it but you dont know how the other guy heard it. that is why there is no difference between taunting and flaming. the first guy thinks he is taunting but the other guy feels like he is being flamed.

What i want to be able to do is actually report people like this, it's unsportsmanlike conduct to constantly trash talk someone all game, it's the same as being toxic and sure you can mute someone but not everyone mute's people. If everyone simply muted people, no one would get banned, but it's not that simple, people pride get in the way of them wanting to mute people who are being toxic and its unfortunate but i can't report someone for doing this because nothing happens when i do(as far as i know).

this may be true.. but its simple.. ask them to show some class... if they proceed to be dicks about it.. mute and report... in the report notes state u asked them to stop and they didnt.. there is no need to banter back with them.. just inform them what they r doing is wrong.. after that let riot deal with them... but muting a toxic player goes a long way for your own well being..

If someone's really starting to bother you, the mute and ignore commands are always there to resolve the situation.

And remember, while nobody likes being insulted, it pays to take a moment to consider the circumstances. Remember that this is a competitive game, and, more often than not, the other player is just venting their frustration. Try not to take it personally. Everyone has a breaking point and everyone rages sometimes. At some point you may find yourself in the other person's shoes.

Losing track of my cursor in the middle of the team fight (where a bunch of particles are going off at once) is frustrating because the color blends in so well. I had the same problem in DotA 2 until I found the cursor pack from TI6 that changed the color to red. Made seeing it a lot easier. Too bad Riot will never ~~allow~~ implement customized packs for the UI, stingy as they are.

Almost all of the greatest athletes in their respective competitions were like this. Jordan, Kobe, Conor, Ali, Tyson, Reggie Miller, Lance Armstrong, and the list goes on and on and on and on.

That is why I have all chat turned off. I just don't see how seeing what my opponents type in chat is useful. Also, if I see my opponent use an emote or showing their mastery level after getting a kill or after escaping a gank, I immediately mute them, both chat and emotes and report them after game. Reason, showing your mastery level or an emote after kill/escape is a form of taunting and is toxic in my opinion. Sure report system won't see it, but that kind of players usually flame their teammates, so there is usually another reason to report them anyways.
