"The game is way less toxic than it used to be."

Really? Because I have yet to play a single game where someone didn't flame or say "gg ez" in all chat. I'm not even going to go into the dreadful new player experience because this veteran one is getting extremely tired of the toxicity.

In before "but wuz dere an Ezreal in teh game?"

You need to grow up. People are such babies today. If you can't take "gg ez", then I can't imagine how you will handle life....

Yea you ain't the only one. And it feels like some people have started scripting to get boxes.

Not saying that because they're good. But because we stomped them and 5 minutes in they're LCS material...

Hitting everything.

But the thing that betrays them are the instant flashes from ults. The fact that they use multiple things instantly. Like sona ults them so it's like an instant qss w q e gets kill. Walk away all within a second.. instantly.

Then they hit space bar and they suck again.

I know how to read and spot them. They're rare but sense crates... yea..

It's like you wouldn't be here in this elo.. with 1000 wins... if you play like that legit.

Instant sidesteps as soon as you use the ability. And then they use an ability as soon as you right click somewhere..

Total bs and obvious.

People aren't just spectators. They contribute to the tone of every game they play. I have no idea if there is actually less toxicity than their used to be, but I damn sure have experienced significantly less over the last 2 years than the previous 4. The punishment systems did progress a lot during that time, but also I changed. I became less hypercritical, less angry towards my team, and more teamwork oriented. And in a very short time, I went from almost quitting because it wasn't worth playing knowing that almost every game I was going to play was just going to be full of toxic players who are not only going to make the game miserable, but also make us lose to almost never seeing toxic players.

To be completely honest, I notice it A LOT around spring break, winter break, summer vacation . . . . I think it varies between when the kids have off. I just had one of my most toxic games with someone in MONTHS. The last time I had a toxic game with someone to this level was in November. You just need to take a mental breather or just leave the game for a few months. You cannot control the behavior of a stupid imbecile that is griefing and getting a rise out of players for no reason at all. You cannot control it . . . but Riot can . . . . and they have yet to really do anything about it.
