It's his lane and HE needs to take care of it. If he isn't paying attention, someone else can't manage the lane for him. I'm not saying that a jungler or a mid laner couldn't roam top and gank his lane but Darius himself isn't the only not guilty party in this case.

it's understandable when something like this happens -playing top -almost get a kill but jungler comes and you die -team flames you -you try to be nice to them -ask for jungler to come -come into your lane shove a wave of cs and go back to clearing without any intent of helping -you get froze on -team keeps flaming you

and by that point you'd be so uncontrollably mad (like your head was about to explode from tilt) and run it down

That isn't at all understandable, if you nearly get a kill top lane but die because the jungler came in then you either got outplayed or you didn't have it warded, either way it's really your fault or the fact that the other team/players are better than you.

In your example it isn't understandable at all, in fact it shows that you have no control over your emotions.

When the game becomes a shitfest when 2 people afk and the other 2 are early carries 0/10 it's not morally not understandable to just start fucking around. It doesn't mean it was OK or the right decision to do so.

Had an AP Ezreal int yesterday and asked to surrender at 10 minutes, proceeded to spam surrender vote at 15 minutes while afking and kept intentionally dying for most of the game. Only stopped because we were acing the other team after a while without him, but we were still losing due to being short 1. This all started because he lost a 1v1. We ended up winning even after they had a 13k gold advantage and he apologized for inting afterwards.

People seem to let their 'tiltlyness' impact their play a little too much.

Why do you imply Darius shouldn't die in lane? He's a bit harder to kill than most top laners but he's still vulnerable to dying to ganks or just getting outplayed in lane.

If someone who doesn't even know Darius well enough to use his lane phase advantage or clears waves with Q so as to be pushed up far enough to die to a gank, they were going to lose regardless of the pick.

Regardless of the champion, a player bad enough to leave at 3 minutes was most likely going to give the enemies 2000g worth of kills.

But with a champion whose only win condition is whether or not the enemy hard-countered them, the player's gotta be dumber than normal.

No not really, most basketball games I have been in just had everybody laugh at the rage quitting loser and then continued the game (or with new teams so it's more balanced).

Sure, if you're talking about high school PE class or a casual game at the park with friends. Of course no one freaks out about that, they have options. They can stop the game, rearrange teams, grab a replacement, etc. It doesn't matter if someone freaks out and jumps ship.

League isn't like that. You can't just stop the game and find someone to take their place. You can't rearrange teams to make it fair. In the OP'S situation, his team was locked into a 4v5 for at least another 12 minutes.

It's more like an official school match, where a player rages and storms off the court a few minutes in. If the team doesn't have an extra member, they can't just sub someone in from the stands. It's basically an automatic loss playing one man down, and everyone on that team is going to be passed at the guy who raged.

?????? [zombie-brand-facepalm] I mean, the 3-4 minute mark is literally when most junglers will gank top or mid. It's gotten so stupid I've literally started pinging '!' to overextending top laners at three minutes if the jungler is nowhere near to help, even if I don't see the enemy jungler. Because of course they're likely to be there. It's the most basic jungle route in the game.
