Finally got a chat restriction after 6 years of playing I can't play ranked anymore.

Had a day full of games where people intentonally played badly and if finally did it, i finally got an actual chat restriction for once. Typically i keep it to one word responses and using emotes to communicate but today was just exploray of what my ranked league of legends experience has become. Riot prioritizes punishing people who react negativly to their teamates going out of their way to ruin games and everyone knows it by now so today when morgana decided that she was tilted from the very beginning of champ select and decided to throw our game I finally lost my temper.

From minute one of the lobby she demanded that someone else dodge and began to bitch and moan about our team comp, of course no one wanted to take the hit on her behalf so the game continued as normal. The enemy invaded as is pretty normal nowadays and rather than move when she was warned that she was being flanked she walked into five them, now this could be forgiven maybe she wasnt paying attention and got caught off guard but what happened next started to rub me raw.

She walked back into a fight at tri bush with the enemy and died once more and then upon respawning again rushed to lane and ran straight into the bot lane dying for the third time in 3 minutes. People asked her to play back and to just stop feeding and just try but she just typed ":)" and walked into the enemy boy lane repeatedly, by the end of the laning phase both cait and j4 were sporting 2-3 full items plus boots due to our lack of a 5th player who had by this point made it a habit to go to mid lane to soak exp and run into yasuo to die. The enemy team asked what it was she was angry about and we told them we didnt know and that she had been beligerent at champ select and decided she was going to feed. I know she wasnt banned as intentional feeding is deemed "hard to discern" but it's entirely to frustrating to deal with these players day in and day out where if they do this stupid check list of staying silent in game and then saying "sorry bad game" they can feed as much as they want.

It was so childish she got so mad for no reason and simply refused to play the game to start and this is just the norm now and I want no part in it. To me league has lost any and all of it's competive sheen with riots inability to balance the game or punish people who refuse to actually cooperate with there team, when 9 other players recognize that you are playing poorly intentionally and there is a recording readily available for people to review so that it can be without a shadow of a doubt this shouldnt be a problem anymore. But for what ever reason trolling has only gotten worse as the years go on and so i must say i am resigning from this games ranked ques it's not worth it any measure especially since not enough people take it seriously to have a decent 5v5 , instead of decent matches one team always has a player like morgana and it's not fun to lose with or win against just tedious.

I kept telling myself that things would get addressed season after season but it's not, players like this just exist in this game and they will always sour the competetive side so ill just find something else to scratch that itch. This games only good with friends and even then that isnt saying much since there are plenty more entertaining games to enjoy. No reason to dedicate time to this game so i can pull my hair out because someone decided to ruin his teamates day.

Don't know why i felt the need to type this up, just feel pretty down at this ranked has become a complete cesspool like it use to have bad spots but now it's just everywhere.[zombie-nunu-bummed]

5 out of the last 7 tickets i made about people running into turrets have been completely ignored. Even though i added multiple clips in each support ticket of them doing so. The 0 tolerance rule, really is not 0 tolerance i guess. because 5 out of 7 are still playing.

ranked is full of children playing super bad/tilted. No longer a seriously competitive game. Watch even high elo streams, coinflip whoever gets the INTer autoloss.

This game enables trolls and intentional feeders under the guise of combating "toxicity". As if there's anything more toxic than a "teammate" intentionally throwing matches.

Yes, trolling and intentionally feeding is punished, and you CAN have someone actually review it by sending in a support ticket with a link to the game (via the league match history on the web).... with a short explaination of who it was, and what they are doing.

In my time of league, I will have to say it has not actually changed all that much. There has ALWAYS been trolling, there has ALWAYS been problems that can never be addressed...... simply because there is a wide variety of skill matchups and peoples mentality vs certain champions that they have been near traumatized about is horrid.

People see an enemy Yasuo and so they completely lose their heads and play badly.... sometimes intentionally, sometimes not. It happens.

However trolling in game? That has been around for a long while.... even back into Runescape etc. The real problem with trolling is that this is a 5v5 pvp game. That means that instantly stress is high, and trolls LOVE high stress situations. They feed on the anger.

They do not need an excuse.... that morgana most likely would have trolled that game no matter what they said beforehand. They have obviously punished people..... because otherwise people wouldnt be trying to brag about "this is my 30th banned account!" Which they post so that THEY GET ATTENTION. They are laughing at people stressing, usually after they lost their own account for acting like a 4 year old who hasnt taken their nap yet.... and so now they are out on a vendetta because they literally have nothing else to do except troll in a video game.

So while i do understand the stress of having to deal with trolls.... how about instead of literally making a post saying "ok trolls. You win." You just report them via support ticket and help spread the word about that being able to be done for cases where they are literally running it down.... people literally playing tahm and flashing into the enemy team over and over again... etc. Actual cases where it is PAINFULLY obvious that they are trolling and let them just get punished.

Eventually with enough people doing that and NOT getting all pissed off when they see one... then eventually we wont have any trolls left!

I uninstalled. This game is a shit fest with no regulation except "chat".

Yea riot has zero sympathy for normal non-toxic people who just get non stop fuckheads in their games and snap. Their policy is "be immaculate in chat or fuck you" LOL I'd love to qeue up all the creators and people who support this stupid system with fuckheads for 10 games in a row and see how immaculate their chat is then.

Riot only punishes verabal offenses, for some godforsaken reason. I understand that you cant say certain things, and thats fine, but when will Riot double down on the players that actually ruin the games thru their own gameplay?

Answer is never. Riot's matchmaking is the worst I've ever seen in a multiplayer game. Its quite unbelievable that they allow this extreme skill discrepency in every single game. It will not ever be fixed.

Change my mind.

Riot's so-called 0 tolerance policy actually encourages people to int in retribution against punishment on their accounts. But we live in a clown world where words matter more than action, banter is more punishable than int, so what can you do. Of course there will be waves of people just say fuck it I'm gonna int every game now.

Play Anivia wall block your teammates, afk farming jungler, tahm kench, enrage your teammates in all ways possible. As long as you don't literally run down mid go 0/30 at 15 minutes, or say any trigger words, trust me nothing will ever happen to you, no matter how many times people report on you. Riot doesn't care. As long as esports and skins are cashing in, why would they care.

Read any response from your tickets, there are barely any difference between their "customer service" response. It's all copy pasted from the same template. I wouldn't be surprised it's just bunch of programmbed bots with bunch of seemly cute aliases sending out generic response to people reporting their inting teammates.

After years, I think this is the only way to enjoy the game now: troll, int, laugh at your teammates raging in /all report nunu. (for what? I'm 0/0/1 after 20 minutes. I'm not inting by riot's standards lol). The moment you see someone say anything mean. Screenshot and send a ticket. If you are abused by the system, abuse it yourself.

Welcome to a community that idolatrizes toxic streamers to the point that one of the having 20+ accounts banned for intentional feeding gets a well deserved undefinite ban which gets lifted because the community cried about it and because this guy is followed by idiots.

I almost feel like Rito pushes it to happen, intentional or not. People who get their accounts banned over stupid shit will just take it out on other players because they don't think it's fair they got punished or whatever.

Some people deserve their punishments but from what I've seen dabbling in these forums and just seen firsthand, Rito tries being too black and white (which they really aren't.) No matter what happened in somebody's game they will always tell somebody that context does not matter. Rito can have any policy they want, sure, but in my opinion being so lenient on trolling while also so harsh on chat-based things, it's not a good combination. At least for a free game, it just makes people realize that their account could go poof over something so small and how worthless the account is (especially when you can spend upwards of 100 dollars just for a single skin, and have that be permanently taken away.)

One more thing that the high rate of trolls getting banned helps is account trading services. Yeah, they aren't supposed to exist anyway, but imagine how the demand for level 30 accounts will go when all these trolls need new accounts.

Soooo, I was forcefully made to be toxic by my teammates bad behavior (I just couldn't control myself) and that's a good example of why ranked sucks. Did I mention it was also the first time in 6 years?

Sorry for the bad games and the heaps of frustration that comes from dealing with inters/whatnot.

But you still flamed people and that NEVER helps the situation.

this shit used to never happen back in 2010-2013. Ever since 2014-2015 shit got sour due to society as a whole being toxic and not caring anymore.

I agree riot needs work. My main account got a 14 day that's up Friday because I called someone a racoon, yet they allow racist and homophobic names to routinely pass through their name policy until someone decides to report it.. by then the damage is done.

I'll give you an example. Look at this accounts past games. Theres one game where someone's name literally is "jhunter" and was spouting anti semitism the whole game. This caused the enemy team to agree to " destroy those js" and "Hitler did nothing wrong" .

I reported this behavior, unlike other reports tho, I have yet to receive a notification that this behavior was punished and that these players are still playing under these offensive names. Yet, my main account ,whom I jokingly renamed to make fun of the fact it was 14 day because of an animal, will have to work to get rewards back because "the community thinks racoon is hate speech" according to the rioter who used threatening speech towards me when I appealed the decision.

That is the underlying problem with the system. Not only is it super easy to get a new account and level it up with all the ways you can get free rp from different websites, but I will go as far as to say riot promotes this behavior because of the punishment system decides to punish the victim instead of the person.

Before you say, oh just mute and move on, the damage is already done. Their name and hateful actions are already said before you even mute them. It's the same as someone in the OP post ruining the game. It ruins your gaming experience and that will breed negativity.

Hell, just leveling this account trying out champs I want to get better at I've been cursed more than my level 175 + main account..

Its very annoying how whichever team gets the worst one member is sure fired loss but whichever team gets the best player doesn't matter if they coincidentally have the worst one. Whether by trolling or skill level. Back when I started on my previous account in season 3 you could solo carry if you had the micro and macro skill difference being vast in your favor. Now it is that you can win 2 lanes and a jungle by yourself in a huge lead but still lose cus a morgana runs it down.

This is why I don't play PvP games. They are bad for my health, and even when I win I feel emotionally drained.

In PvE you do a pull, someone proves they're inept, they are kicked and replaced with someone competent and you finish the raid/dungeon. If you notice the entire group is inept you leave and find another group.

In these pvp games you have to sit through an entire game of suffering and deal with completely uneven experiences.

In PvE games it is very easy to filter out players by skill levels and accomplishments for each group in each type of PvE content. In PvP you're stuck with some nebulous match making system that gives you little agency into your group composition. This is largely the product of this game being a soloQ centric game, whereas in games like WoW's PVP you HAVE to form a premade group to participate in ranked matches. That is, if you lose, it was entirely of your own making based on team member selection and performance.

So long as soloQ exists in this game and people aren't forced to filter themselves into premade groups with self-sorting based on previous performance and skill level accepted by your teammates, people will have a bad time.
