I'm honestly appalled by the state of player behavior analysis at Riot

Currently, players are more likely to be banned for saying things like "please report playerX for trolling" than actually trolling. Why the fuck does Riot allow this? The biggest problem is that players understand how to game this ridiculous system and they will play the victim and look for offense in the minutest of shit in order to justify a report of a player that they simply don't like or who "wronged" them in game or otherwise damaged their ego. I know I'm guilty of this, and now that I am able to reflect on it after the fact, it's fucking bullshit. The worst part is that I didn't do this consciously, meaning that this kind of response is basically a reflex. It needs to stop. Riot needs to bring back the Tribunal so that actual people can determine whether or not a report was submitted in good faith or just to mend the ego of a butthurt player.

Except none of that matters, because being reported only triggers a review, it has absolutely no effect on your chances of being punished.

Dont feed the trolls.

If you mastered not making in your pants, you can overcome this.

The Tribunal was always more strict than Riot expected, sometimes by as much as 9%. You should be careful what you wish for.

your arguments are still completely invalid because you're emphasizing the "don't fight back" too much based on real life scenarios. this is a game, where you are physically safe. Yes people will be asses and verbally assault you, but that's why there's a report button after every game so those people can get filtered out eventually by suspensions.

If you honestly feel like you have to fight back and defend yourself against trash-talking then you must invest way too much into your pride or have some sort of complex in regards to people talking about you because I really see no reason to feel that butthurt about it.

It is super simple.

Don't bite/respond ECT.

Since you point how easy it is to be reported then don't respond in kind. Jerks on your team? Mute them and likewise for the other team. It just boils down to ego and the inability to let it roll off your back.

If someone says something abusive or untrue, you can always respond in a positive way, by clarifying. If the next response is neg then mute.

It's my understanding that it's repetitive reports that get a person in trouble. It logically follows if you are getting a ban from Riot, it is because you are a repeat offender.
