And it did. I've only seen people use it to tilt other players and BM.

Tilt and BM are both part of online gaming, and aren't worth getting up in arms about.
Flaming is different.
Well, if people get tilted from others BM'ing them with emotes then - much like with toxic chat and pings - they have the option to mute emotes.
Hold TAB to open the scoreboard, and to the left of "Mute Chat/Character Emotes" and to the right of (in the case of allies) "Mute Pings", is "Mute Emotes". Tired of people spamming Thumbs Up emotes at the end of the match? Emote-mute'em.
If people don't know about the feature, then those who read this know now; and if they don't use said feature, and still get tilted...Well, that's their own fault.
