Spamming pings on a player should in fact be a reportable offense, as it is by far one of the most tilting things in league of legends, and you cant even do anything about it besides mute the pings, and then when you have an actual danger or mia ping you might not notice it if your in the middle of a fight
people have been punished here for ping spamming (as a griefing method) before.
Seen red smites on them on this very boards.
It is, though I've only seen one case on the boards of a player being banned for it. Report it under Unsportsmanlike Conduct or Verbal Abuse and annotate it in the description.

I usually just do it back.
The community decides what is punishable. If you think it's punishable report them for it. If they do it in every game and people report them for it they will be punished. It's all automated.

It is reportable under "Unsportsmanlike". Simply report them under that and in the comments section describe what they did. The pings are in the in game logs.
You never saw the pings at dota2 did ya lol its like 6 times more spammable really. no joke
Rather than making more draconian rules, it's better to have a mute pings option for each player when you press Tab.

actually the only times i gotping spammed was when i was doing something utterly stupid. so yeah, if u encounter that often, then you dsome serious stupid stuff in the game :P
Why on earth would this bother you.
If this bothers you, you should not be playing multiplayer games, because you have way bigger issues to deal with than people spamming pings..
Ping spamming is harassment just like other forms of griefing.
It's not paid a lot of love by RIOT as it's difficult to detect but I hope with more accurate reports and some time they can manage the problem more effectively.
