So as youll see my ign is Temptress. It was too match my friend for a theme. And low and behold people now know I'm a girl as if that even mattered in the first place. If I could copy and paste how many games where it's "this is why I don't like girl players" "this is why girls suck at league" "girls are trash" "egirls suck" repeatedly REPEATEDLY. I report them every fucking time and riot literally doesn't give a shit and usually I'm not big on sexism or things so hot topic, but when it happens every game in the majority OF your games it is just fucking stupid. I legit was like 18/4 and I got flamed for being a girl like what the ?

Precisely this. If the flamed player weren't a girl, they would still flame, just for something else. Haters gonna hate.

And I do take issue with Riot never doing anything; it's entirely likely that those players will get punished. It may not be for that game alone, and you won't know unless you're report is the final one. Not the best system. There's plenty of people at Riot that hate this behavior every bit as much as players.

I get comments all the time about "your name is so cringe" or whatever the hell "nerd this" or even with my picks "typical x main" I throw that shit onto the same pile as any other leaguer who's like "you suck" just to say it

Ok i'll start with my Devil's advocate point of its bad to assume "its just cuz they can't stand it cuz she's a girl". You don't know why people say things. It could be you're right but then there are a hundred other reasons any one person can choose to say something stupid/or insulting. I just said I get insinuating comments thrown at me all the time for X reasons. You're not special because someone picked on you. In fact, the rules are in our favor against such attitudes. The difference is when someone hits my personal insecurities, I resist. Its not that I don't have them, or that people don't say things that hit close to home. I CHOOSE to recognize that I don't have to listen to it. I KNOW they're wrong and if they don't like my name or my likes THEY CAN SUCK FIVE FOOTLONGS. Muted. Reported. Move on.

You missed the point. No its not right to try to belittle people, but its only "preying" if you let them. If you think going off on a moral tangent about how wrong these people are is going to help by all means continue; you'll get nowhere.

Other's actions don't negate your own personal responsibility. Everyone knows there will be people who will use ANYTHING you do or say as a means to berate you or project their own insecurities on you, but does crying "they're sexist, and mean, and and and I don't like their comments" really help you? Nope. In fact by showing they got to you half the time they're laughing because they don't really believe what they said but they got a rise out of you by saying it anyway.

Its not about fairness. Life isn't fair. She chose her name. She should own it and not gaf/mute negative things said because it denies such people power over her. If she obsesses and feels depressed over it, well then shes giving them time of her life when they probably stopped thinking about her as soon as the situation ended.

If all they're doing is talking shit report them and then let it go.

Yes prejudice is real but since its a human condition that can't be eliminated the only thing society or other people can do is punish people for taking prejudice actions. We have reports. The rules are against talking like that in game. You have a mute to help with quality of life. What more do you want at that point?

But if you go home, weeping and depressed because you had to listen to him, whose choice is that? Be strong. Be bigger. Imagine how much better you'd feel if you thought similarly about these shit talkers and a pile of dog crap? You know dog crap exists. You know you don't like it. In some cases it has to be smelled or seen but you're not going to freak out and ruin your day over it. You've accepted that there are ways to deal with crap a long time ago and are no longer phased by its negativity even though you know there might be more crap to encounter someday lol

Not to try and belittle the issue, but people will find ammunition from literally anywhere. If you're a different race, gender, sexuality, literally anything that can be used in a derogatory way by nasty people, they will use it against you.

Your IGN makes it obvious your a girl so you're gonna get that thrown at you. If you're a one-trick with a character specific name you'll get that thrown at you instead.

It sucks, but don't take it personally as sexism, take it as people flaming on the internet, and report them. Just because you dont get an instant feedback report popup doesn't mean said person wont go on to get banned for continued offenses - And if they are the sort of person to do it in the first place chances are they will do it again, and it will bite them in the end.

Sexism is a pretty big issue, yes. I'm not a woman, but I used to have a feminine sounding summoner name and I got harassed fairly regularly until I changed it. I actually changed it for totally different reasons, but I can confirm this is an issue and I'm not sure why people are downvoting this.

simple thing. as flamebaiting seems to be a thing, if they start flaming you you could try to get em to say a lot of nasty things. You can be friendly, and if your KDA is better u could simply say "hows it feel, with a bad KDA playing in the same round as a girl who can play" "look my KDA little boy, you just got your shit handed to you by a "girl"" "u pissed that a woman is better than u?" This will obviously prompt a sexist message, if not, theres a good lots of more lines u can also use. Fight poison with poison, because sooner or later those guys get banned.

Different story if its a ton of horrible things they say, but if they just notice you're a girl and comment on it, then they shouldnt be punished. Its a douchey thing to do, and they are childish for doing it, but its not worthy of a ban.

Don't know why mobas are different but I play only female champs with female names on MMOs.

I've gotten SOOOO much free loot and help it isn't funny. It's defiantly 10x better to be a female in a MMO than a male.
