Sadly the honor system is leaning towards "honor the dude who carried"

I still really like the honor system, but in most of my games the guy who did the best also got the majority of the honors. I don't think there is a good solution to this, but it isn't a really huge issue.

My issue is when it's not one clear person that carried but a group effort. Example, I was recently in a 4v5 that we won. Had a single one of us not tried our hardest, we'd have lost. Instead we were victorious. The honor should have gone to my whole team. I preferred the old system's ability to recognize this. League isn't Overwatch, it doesn't need a system like theirs.

I think it'd be nice if we could honor people that carried in a separate way. So we'd give a carry honor and then a behavioral honor. It could be for the same person, but each would have its own system. That way you could honor the carry (maybe the adc is 12/1) and honor the jungler that made the game more fun by telling jokes or untilting his team.

There is a solution: carry the game :-)

Not really, as I was saying to my spouse yesterday, I feel honor is being thrown out like candy most games, even bad ones (loss and flaming all throughout). I was once honored as a not even positive jgler more than our heavy carry adc. Still no idea why, and wrote in chat trying to remedy the honor outcome. And after a loss in which someone was trying to tilt me, I guess, they honored me as tilt proof, just cause. Premades will always honor each other, doh. Several times we got the extra honor because everyone voted. And several times I got keys after login. So from my experience, It's usage is higher than expected, without a significant weight towards carries, yet the toxicity level is not really lowered, as intended :( And offtopic, I personally haven't felt people were overly and falsely friendly, like some anticipated, which I'm fine with either way.

people are people, the more varied honors probably had positive effects but eh.

I'm of the belief that most the time people who are honorable will also carry. Often times people that flame tend to play worse.

Whenever I find myself being honored it's because i did something cool like landing my Thresh Q on a (insert jungler here) in the middle of their gap closer or getting a good grab on an invisible target.

Guy who carried should at least get something for his efforts right?
