How do you deal with trolls ?

A real question here. I'm playing on my smurf account RN to level it up with a friend, and obviously I'm matched with smurfs too (note, I'm not complaining about them being smurf).

But basically, every single game has someone :

  • Inting
  • Being toxic
  • Going afk

And 80% of the time, enemy reaction is "honor trolling player" without reporting him. And to add a point, no they don't seem to be punished since I just got matched with the same troll again who just did the same in this game (and also I only play ARAM on this second account too).

So how am I supposed to "enjoy" the levelling experience if games are filled with players like this ?

Oh and yes, this player I'm talking about also added me and here are the messages he sent

deleted me from his friend list, and then after the next game (I reported him on the previous game), got matched with him again, he added me again and sent me these.

What should I do ? Just mute everyone every single game ?

probably not add him. Why would you think adding someone to friends list who is negative would be a good idea.

I don't mean to sound like an ass, but this is really a failure on your part.

Negative in-game = mute. report after game. See friend request from him after game? decline.

Lmao you keep adding him and then complain about the things he said? Weird. Also, you can't honor an opponent. Also, it only takes 1 report to get looked at, so it doesn't matter if they don't report them. Only you have to report for it to have the same effect as 9 people reporting.

As far as the levelling sentiment; yeah, it sounds rough. I remember leveling and not having a big problem with it. Perhaps it has gotten worse. Riots troll detection and moderation is pretty lacking.

Sidenote: is your name a Godspeed you black emperor reference? Or is there an original dead flag blues that I've just never heard of?

Well, from experience I can tell you that if you say a word to people like that in game, you get restricted.

If you say anything at all that could be remotely interpreted as negative, you can be reported. Even if the person goes 0/20, saying anything means you get the punishment and they get to go 0/20 in every game that day.

If you see the game is 35-2 and you go for an FF and 2 people say no, you can't leave or you get leaverbuster. If you say there's no chance of winning when they have every turret within 18 minutes outside nexus, you can get reported for negative attitude!

The only solution is just say nothing. Period. Talk to your friends, only speak if you have four friends in a pre-made in team chat, always turn off /all chat and just do nothing. If it gets so bad you want to do something about it, sign off. That's the sad, harsh truth about how bad things are.

It -appears- Riot wants the smurfs, trolls, and nasty folks to do whatever they want and if you dare say a word back, you're the one who pays for it. So when maintenance is done, I'll go on and play. If I see people trolling, I'll sign off and go do something else. I wish I had something better than that for you, but that's it.

Maybe stop adding him? If you know he's toxic

Monkas

Also Riot clearly said in past posts that because you have control over who you add and not, so you put yourself in this toxic situation

You already had a screenshot
