I usually follow that response with how that player made a huge lack in judgement in order to attempt to make him stop making that poor discussion .

No reason to try to fight a champion 4 levels ahead of you who has 7 kills and you having 5 deaths.

If I can even stop 1 player from making bad judgement calls out of 5, that makes the game a much better place.

Not everyone wants to listen, I get that but they're many forms of communication that you can use to let your teammates know of your displeasure, muting should be the finale option and stating your muting them doesn't do anything other than make YOURSELF feel better (usually because you feel like shit for playing poorly).
