What do you guys think about unbanning perma banned players if they reformed on a smurf after 1-2 yr

He/she was toxic, a leaver, a feeder, a cheater, etc. He/she fully deserved the perma ban(most times).

He/she still enjoyed league and wanted to play despite losing all of his/her money/runes/champions on the main account.

He/she reformed on a new account and played for a year or 2 with a more or less "clean" record. They are no longer ruining(hopefully) other players experience with the game.

Should the players who have done something along these lines have their main perma banned or have a different reward?

It doesn't have to be a skin/icon, it could be something as simple as congratulating them in a way that is meaningful to the player in some way, shape, or form.

Any thoughts? Up vote if you agree with this, down vote if you don't agree, or if you aren't sure we can discuss in this thread more for both sides arguments.

No. The point of a permaban is that it's permanent and you lose content. You don't get it back, because you broke the rules. 10 years after a felon is out of prison, the fact that they're a felon isn't magically erased. Don't do the crime if you can't handle the punishment. [slayer-jinx-catface]

They used to try this but they found many people couldn't change and were just being negative to newer players during the attempt.

They can't stop people from making new accounts but they seem to have decided not to encourage it.

At least that is my understanding of their current stance and reasoning behind it.

no, if you got nailed for a crime against the community. there is no such thing as a pardon.

If they have shown reform over a lonnnggg period of time (and games), I'll unban them.

But being neutral isn't good enough, they have to show positive behavior instead.
