Normals or Ranked, trolling in both games still causes negative impacts on their team. There ARE people who would like to take Normals as seriously as Ranked does in terms of practicing their champions in legit matches.

It's not meant to be ranked (obviously). There are no stakes.

It's meant to be a game where people can have a proper match without their LP being risked. Not playing as seriously as Ranked such as going Karma jungle? Fine by me. Playing while drunk or going that Singed strat? That's over the line & is still punishable. If you seriously desire a match where there's no rules for trolling & such, Custom & Bot games are there for you.

I'm pretty sure Riot is fine with people trying out new strats in unranked or playing to lose there as well (I.e. not playing to win).

It's unranked, you lose nothing if you lose, you win nothing if you win.

There is still a borderline depending on how far you're planning to stretch it out, even if it's Normals. It's also not about what you win. It's about how every players wants to experience in every match they play.

In Ranked, players tend to stress out when things don't go their way & lost LP. So fine, they chill in Ranked. And like I said, Seeing Karma Jungle & Zed top? It's fine, just chilling. Players who are actual drunks or those who aren't taking safety seriously & starts intentionally feeds in the end? It just ruins the mood all over again. Might as well just play Overwatch instead of League to pass time. (even Blizzard takes non-Competitive games seriously by making one queue with non-hero stacking)

1- I don't remember saying "League is perfectly balanced", nice strawman argument though.

2- Nothing is "perfectly balanced" that doesn't mean it needs to be completely broken. You are arguing a nirvana fallacy on top of your strawman argument.

3- Overwatch has been completely broken since beta. There are few characters and even of those few many of them are complete garbo with only a select few ever seeing play. When you could double-dip in competitive, you'd even see multiples of the same hero on every team (Ex: Winston)

Overwatch is not competitive yet. I play both games and Overwatch is a joke game... there is a huge update with massive re-balancing coming... this is happening for a reason (Spoiler: The game balance was shit).

The this specific case of smite singed support isn't like that. Go spectate some of his games and you'll notice that he is trying to win games with a split push strategy & constant pressure.

I still reserve judgment on this specific player as we, as a community, don't have all the information Riot has to pass a proper judgement.

But from spectating a few games of his so far, his strat is certainly unconventional and can piss off alot of people if they don't know how to play around him.

Exactly what i see! No one wants to conform to off meta. Everyone wants to play the boring meta. Why was MF Support successful at worlds? SKT didn't know how to play around it. So i dont see why support singed should be banned. It might even give an edge to his team as no one really knows how to play against it. He is still winning a majority of his games. So i see no point in what Rito is doing

Actually, MF is a hard counter to zyra. Which is a lane bully & and decently fast pusher.

When zyra isn't as effective, the majority of the strat that revovles around her and META in worlds (bully lanes, push towers fast) gets dissolved.

mf support in worlds. vayne , kog , twitch jungle, vayne top,

yasou tank top

ap maphite mid

varus mid

ez ap mid

annie support *is a mid mage , people started to use her at support and it worked and then it became the norm or "meta"

brand support

trundle support

the list goes on and on..

as long as you dont intentionally feed aka run it down mid and you arent toxic and you legit try to win... regardless if you do... its not trolling
