How to implement Voice Coms in this game with respect to Player Behavior?

Yea. I just wanted to see some opinions of ppl on how riot should deal with raging if they give voice comms.

My initial thought is to make the punishments harsher and swifter, since vocal verbal abuse is a bit more ... intense than text base verbal abuse.

But then Im thinking how the "voice logs" would go. I imagine alot of these players don't really hear themselves when they rage out loud. Id wager a lot would have an equally more intense reaction to hearing how and what they say... (when their punishment sends their voice logs their way)

The same way I do in chat. Muting.

As far as banning and stuff goes? Have all games be recorded until the end, when match is over if someone ticks Voice - Harassment/Hate Speech (whatever's there now, just with voice before it), have details like what happened in game and around what time into it when it was present, then whole audio w/replay is recorded OR it gets saved +&- 5 or 10 minutes of the time they stated in report (to give for possible error in time reporting - so you can use roundabout time), and then reviewed.

Either that or an in game hotkey (or integrate to the mute button) you can press to save the last 5 minutes of chat audio and report + mute on the spot.

If no one reported under the voice column then the voice auto is discarded/erased so it doesn't sit around taking up space.

  1. Give you the option to mute.

That's it. Also as someone who's been playing online games since forever, flaming and toxicity doesn't happen nearly as often in voice chats, as it does in text based chats. Most flaming really only comes from a lack of communication if you break it down, so voice chat would likely even help reduce toxicity.

Wouldn't it be fun if Riot could record all voice chat used in game and had to listen to each conversation in order to determine if someone was being toxic or not? I can just imagine some guy spammed sex sounds at max volume and some riot guy had to listen to that.

Poor Rito

Who the hell would want to subject themselves to this crap?

Like Riot's draconian, arbitrary, policies aren't oppressive enough as it is? This game used to be about having fun, not who gets reports at the end of the game
