Does troll reporting do anything?

I was playing a game as Elise like 10 minutes ago and i did very, very poorly (1/9/4). It really sucks for my teammates and I get that I was probably a good part of why we lost... Nonetheless, I am learning how to play her and as much as i hate feeding teammates, I don't think its deserving of a report.

After the game ended, I got a message stating I was reported for ''verbal Harrassment''... I brush it off as an arbitrary warning i got from my teammates gang reporting me over my score (and for the wrong reason, mind you). I barely said anything all game and definitly do not recall being salty or toxic in anyway..

My question is: Does a false report on someone truely affect his status in the League system?

Verbal Abuse reports get your chat logs scanned. If you didn't say anything toxic then it won't hurt you, and the user may lose weight in his future reports. That warning notification is just a heads up that you're getting reported more than usual; it doesn't necessarily mean you will get punished.

It does, but it usually requires more than one report from trustworthy sources.

people here will say "no it doesnt" but the reporting system in this game is so shitty that yes you might get punished unless u prove yourself innocent

Just don't say anything back offensive, even if you didn't say anything before.
