um can we discuss "moderation" on the forums

i posted a thread in "balance" and it was removed and i got this message

So, can you people like make up your minds where you want me to post this?

and WHY do i even NEED to repost it, i am a member of like 5+ different forums and this seems to be the only one where the admin/mods cant MOVE the thread to a different board themselves.

is there any particular reason why you guys juts don't move the thread yourselves?

i plan on posting this a third time... i don't want there to be a 4th...

They are incapable because the boards don't support that function. Since there are multiple moderators, sometimes they don't agree with where a post belongs, and issues like this arise because they don't go checking whether another moderator had a difference in opinion and told you to change it before. It's just a lack of communication on their part.

DTN just making up stuff to try to get his arbiter position back. Someone get DTN checked into a psych facility, he seems really hurt about losing his status.

That was unnecessary, DTN was an Arbiter due to what he is doing right now, and while he was dismissed he is still a knowledgeable person of the community. Saying something like that is very disrespectful.

Why would you say something like that anyway? The moderators do not have the ability to move threads regardless of what the old forums could do.

I didn't say anything like that nor would I, the comment that was deleted earlier was something of a half-joke, half literary reference... but anyway I said that if I would say it (What he said) I'd get instantly censored and yet other people are given free reign to say whatever they want.

That part is easy to explain; I was something of a hero of the off topic section back in the old forum days. We had a small community and we all knew each other, it was like something out of Watamote... I was the alpha nerd , AHEUAEHUAHEUHEUHEUE.

Back then when the forums were destroyed, thereby destroying our 3-4 year community, we were told it was to "Upgrade functionality" so now being told that this is inferior to the previous model is amusing to me, hence;

passive aggressive

The phrase "passive aggressive" is just a word that 'certain people' use because they can't d......... (and so on and so forth; Not taking the bait, Mr. Moderator, you know who you are). It's like navigating a mine field.

The thing is, I could be openly aggressive but that's against the rules, so I'm not.... playing within the rules is randomly declared being "passive aggressive" this is in order to muddy the waters and make the rules all-encompasing. It's something that ................. (AGAIN INSERT GROUP OF PEOPLE AND EXPLANATION THAT I CANNOT TYPE, I will not slip up, Mr. moderator)

my post was about this skin that someone made https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzo4E8elfg0 idk how they did it, but I was basically saying "this needs to be made into a real skin"

Why would you post a skin concept in balance? Skins do not effect gameplay (when done correctly)

i am not sure why the first mode said story art sound. Those threads are supposed to be about Riots story art sound.

Concept feels right but at the same time, I hate when people take others people concepts and post them. If the artiest wanted to have it made as a skin they would submit it, ITS NOT YOUR JOB TO DO SO.

Also Riot very very very rarely takes from the community, and when they do they only take from the creators threads not from a post that is sharing someone elses work. By posting on Riots boards they are giving up rights to their content, WHICH THEY MAY NOT WANT DONE.

The original removal included the wrong link by accident. The second removal directing it to Concepts & Creations was correct. Our apologies for the error. As has been previously stated, the Boards don't have the ability to move threads or we would have done that.

To be clear, here's what is allowed in each section:

Story, Art, & Sound - discussion about Riot-made skins

Concepts & Creations - discussion/concepts for fan-made skins/skin ideas

So what was the point of switching from the forums to the boards if the boards are inferior? I don't really understand .... this is a legitimate question because it was sold to us (back then) as "It's a strict upgrade to what we have now!"

The prior forums couldn't handle the same amount of traffic that the Boards can from what I recall. I wasn't working here during the transition, but I remember that being discussed publicly when I was reading about the changes as a player. The old moderation tools were bad/nonexistent as well I believe.

In short, just because something new doesn't have all the features you want it to have doesn't make it "inferior" to an old version. Could the old version get better? Nope. It was what it was and it wasn't going to change. Can this version get better? Yup. All hands are on deck for the Client Update currently though as the community has been wanting that to happen longer than they've wanted the Boards to be able to move posts.

Mods could delete threads and ban people, not sure what else is needed... threads could be transferred from one section to another as well.
