Hello Boards. I'm back after 2 years. with another 2 week ban.

You guys wouldn't remember me, likely. I used to come here a lot. I stopped playing, stopped watching league content even, for a long time. Summer vacation boredom crept in, and here I am. suspended again.

I'll spare you the chat logs, they're bad. When I was last active here, the general advice I gave to 2 week ban people was to not talk in chat at all. At the time, it took about 3 months for your account to de-escalate punishment level, and getting 1 report after a two week ban would pretty much guarantee a permanent ban.

This was before Riot reformed the honor system. Have either of those two things changed, or anything else changed? What do I need to know to not lose my account, which I will presumably continue playing on at least until August...

From a puhnishment standpoint, it has stayed the same.

It may help to think in terms of what you can do instead of what you can't do. Trying to avoid a punishment just by avoiding all the things you shouldn't say can be exhausting for the types of people who genuinely don't understand why those things are wrong.

Focus instead on doing good things instead of not doing bad things. For example, help keep team morale up. It takes minimal effort to type "gj" after a play goes well somewhere on the map. Or ask politely when you need/want your team to help with something. If you're a positive influence instead of an arguing one then others are a lot less likely to report you. Sometimes you might even manage to turn tilted players normal again and turn around losing games in the process.
