Should All Accounts Get Punished When You Receive A Punishment???

Being that I believe most people on this game has more than 1 account, this will most likely get down voted into oblivion.

But I truly believe if a person gets punished it should go for all their accounts. Im so tired of seeing people intentionally feed and then saying they do not care about being reported because they have other accounts or because its not their main account.

They can do whatever they want and ruin your game, waste your time and nothing truly happens to them because they can just switch accounts and carry on like nothing happened.

if thats what it takes then yeah. Why should someone banned from he game still be able to play just because its on another account? So many people out there are so toxic and just dont care because a ban is not truly a ban in this game.

See thats the problem with people in this community and your comment is a prime example of it. Rather than just state your opinion on the topic you result to insults which are far from the truth. For absolutely no reason you chose to be toxic towards me lol. insinuating I am a child but yet you are the one acting like one.

As far as for your "problem" you gave me to solve its very easy. People should consider how their actions can effect other people. If they dont want to risk having other accounts banned then DONT BE TOXIC. Going by how your 1st ever comment to me was you trying to insult me I can see why this would worry you.

Do YOU have multiple accounts? Would you be ok with losing your main? Would you consider that "nothing happened"?

No i dont..i dont feel the need or point of having multiple accounts.

And I dont have to worry about losing my only account because im not out there being stupid doing stuff that would cause me to get banned..

The only people that should have a problem with it are the people that are so toxic that the stuff they are doing could cause them to get banned and if they are doing that then they dont need to be here in the 1st place.

People shouldn't be using the fact that they have other accounts to troll and intentionally feed with no worries...there needs to be REAL consequences.

Its real simple...if you are not doing stuff to cause you to get banned then you have nothing to worry about.

They say it doesn't bother them just like you used to pretend that getting detention didn't bother you in high school. It's a bluff.

Their main account has all the champions they like, all the runes and skins, their mastery pages are all set up, all their friends are on it... It DOES bother them. Just read the comments on this board.

As an aside, I have one account where I play AD carry and mid, one where I play Jungle and top and the last one is for support and fill. That seems to me like a good reason to have multiple accounts.

But you are proving my point.........why allow people to troll on other accounts and get banned and still be able to go play on their main account, which they do care about....all of their accounts should get banned.

I definitely agree. I think a permanent ban should mean the person should never be allowed to play league ever again.

That said, with the game being free to play I don't really see a practical way of accomplishing that. IP bans are ineffective and have collateral damage. Most people(at least in the US) have dynamic IPs which means they change. Most people can change their IP by simply unplugging their modem and waiting a few minutes, at worst they have to call their ISP. Not only do they get out of the ban with a new IP, but that IP that is banned is eventually going to be assigned to someone else who will then be banned. Also many large networks like college campuses share a single or small range of IPs. So if 1 person on the network gets banned everyone on that IP would be banned which could be thousands of people.

I just don't see how this could possibly be accomplished without a price tag on the game and that just isn't likely to happen. I would love to see something like Korea has(I think its Korea) where they require their equivalent of an SSN to register an account but I know that would not go over well in NA.

I can see both pros and cons to that idea.

Pros:

It helps dissuade poor behavior and emphasizes the consequences of poor behavior. It helps promote and encourage reform.

Cons:

Collateral damage: players who immediately reform after their punishment have to constantly live with the consequences of their actions long after they've reformed (assuming that they have multiple accounts anyways).

But that is how it is now anyway......only difference is now it doesn't affect other accounts. Besides, anyone who complained about being banned for a 2nd or 3rd time really has no ground to stand on anyway...........I have been playing this game for over 4 years and have never had any type of punishment from the game other than a que time penalty for dodging trolls in champ select. Thats doesnt mean i dont get reported.....people are quick to report for feeding even if its not intentional.......so i cant imaging what it takes for someone to get banned let alone get a punishment 2 or 3 times......if they havnt learned by then , then they need to be gone.

This makes sense to me. You don't even need IP bans, just keep track on the back end of which accounts are owned by the same people (logging in from the same client with the same hardware, etc), and when one gets the hammer, they all get the hammer.

People should be punished, not accounts.

I visit a friend every now and then, and play LoL from one of his computers. Naturally, we are now the same person. Same with another of his friends that occasionally came over. And my brother, who played on my computer once. I also once was trying whether a bug I had came from my computer or the general connection, so I logged into LoL on my flatmate's computer.

Sooo, all in all that's five people whose account(s) will all be banned the moment one of them slips up. I'm sorry, but it's just not quite as simple as you make it sound.

Riot does occasionally ban multiple accounts when one gets a permaban. It requires it to be manually done though to verify that the account does actually belong to the same person. It's simply due to how much time it takes to investigate and such is why they dont do it all the time.
