How will the new ranked border work with honor level 0 and 1 players?

In the first dev post, it says " Next season, you’ll unlock your rank border as soon as you finish your provisional games for a position. You’ll be able to see it grow and change as you climb the ladder."

Does that count as a ranked reward, for the honor requirement? It's technically not a season ranked reward if you're getting it at the beginning.

And if it does, how will Riot deal with people that complete their provisionals below honor level 2? Get it automatically when they level up? process them through support tickets? be disqualified for the season?

The support page is gonna need updated.

they'll announce it later, but I assume something like:

no season 8 border if you weren't H2+

no border per split until you are H2+

but as soon as you are H2+ at the end of a split you will get the border

From what it looks like, h1- doesn't seem to affect 2019 ranked borders.

Though it might affect how the 2018 borders are displayed.

Oh boy, I sure do hope I get my border. I was a bad boy near the end of the season, first ban in 8 years. Literally no possible way to get honor level 2 by the end of the season.

If anyone is planning on getting banned, riot prefers it to happen early in the season.

I'm praying for a miracle.

If you don't get the border i call legit bullshit i mean its legit impossible to get honor lvl 2 in 25 days...

GOD i miss you season 6.................
