Do you think there's legitimacy to reporting for refusing to play certain roles? It's something I personally have done for a while now. I don't find support or jungle particularly fun, so I won't play them. I'll usually bring Kalista so I can cs easily with the ADC/top laner there. The person I share the lane with generally has a bad time, but why should I have to play a certain way? It's not that I'm trolling, it's just that I want to have fun.
I can understand that you have a preference for a certain role or roles. This is only natural; however, League is a team based game, where decisions are made not just for you, but for everyone. It may not be especially appealing, but accepting a different role is a very kind thing to do and is very helpful to your team, and when your teammates have more fun, trust me, it will rub off on you.
As far as the reporting goes, it may seem ridiculous but you teammates are trying to send you a message that you are not complying with the team and as a result making it harder for them to win... so they are in fact justified.
There isn't really a hard and fast rule on this, but basically if your team doesn't want you playing something it's good form to heed their request. The meta isn't intended to be enforced, but a lot of players want to play the lane matchup the way it's done in meta. If I were a top laner and you refused to jungle, coming top with me despite me asking you not to, I'd either dodge or report you for refusing to communicate.
You should be able to have fun, but your team should not have to suffer for you to enjoy the game.
This is like saying:
: OH YESH! NASUS TOP! IM GONNA COUNTER DAT ASS......wait, OP, wtf u doing at top lane......?
It's typically saying you're ruining experiences they wanted to experience. To you, it may be considered fun, but to them, you're a hindrance.

Jk, but honestly I'd not be very happy if I saw someone in ranked call Kalista top lane considering I've never seen it before.
There's a reason team builder exists. Play the role you want there. Judging by the positions you like to play you're going to have longer queue times, but forcing your team to play a completely different style because you don't want to play that role is very inconsiderate. If you want to play ranked, you need to take your team into consideration because there are people that want to play seriously there no matter what division you're in, so it is possible that you put your need for fun to the side for a moment and play a role you may not like.

not ban worthy, but a dick move & bronze as hell to refuse to play roles just because you don't want to.
I mean there needs to be some type of context. With a game like this that has a Meta you need certain roles to play the best as you can. This might mean you play a role you arent that comfortable with. But thats the deal with Rank matches. In my opinion (and one of the reason why i dont play Rank) you shouldnt be playing Rank if you cannot at least play 2-3 champions in all roles. You dont need to be good at it, or like it, but i feel that type of requirement for now would help. Because you arent always going to get things you want, and just have to deal with what you have. With something like this, you can ask (nicely) that you dont like a certain role(s). but if its needed for the team there is nothing that can be done.
How exactly are you going about "refusing" the role? Like you're last pick, all other roles are called and you're like "I'm not playing this role"?
I request something else and explain that I'm really bad at whatever role and that I'll do much better somewhere else. If they absolutely refuse to let me have something else I'll take it and to my best. What I actually have a problem with is if afterwards they flame me for doing poorly.
If you're forced somewhere you don't like, imo you should do what you can to play relatively within the meta. You aren't obligated to, but it will help.
