Thought of this the other day. If you choose a champ for pick intent, and a player on your team - that you didn't group with - bans that champ, you should be able to dodge without a penalty. This wouldn't take effect if the enemy bans your champ, or someone you grouped with bans your champ.

You fail to realize that not everyone is going to want to dodge 10 or 15 games before they get to play. It doesn't take 2 seconds to queue up or even a minute to get into the game. Honestly, I get toxic players who will ban whatever champ I have on pick intent just to mess with me. I feel that we should be able to dodge with no LP penalty. I'll take the time penalty, but losing LP because your team picks 3 ADCs and a soraka with zero CC while the enemy team has a solid meta teamcomp is ridiculous.
Watching people do shit like Bard jungle is ridiculous. Why should I lose the game at champion select? I'd rather dodge.
However, they don't need to give it away just for banning your champ. There just shouldn't be an LP penalty at all. I'll gladly wait an hour to not have to lose a game.

mmr = what affects lp gain/loss and who you're matched with
lp = shiny wrapping paper around mmr
dodging affects lp but not mmr therefore you will gain it back
You can have whatever MMR you want, if you don't gain 100 LP you won't make it to promos
Camilla Zolith1 votestrolls happen had a fizz support who hated our team's adc earlier but that didnt stop the team from winning tho fizz did try feed game away early cause i used elise jg to keep our adc in the game kept her from being fully shut down as mf. its called adapting and it can work especially in low elo.

the whole point of pick intent is to promote a team enviroment, as a support main i would first pick leona or some kind of tanky support if i see my jg or top lane is squishy or zyra if we are ad heavy, pick intent is used so teams can create a balanced team comp that should have a good match rather than the ff @ 20 matches that were common in seasons past. Trolls ruin this really good idea and its sad
