This game's moderation system is absolutely ridiculous

I was in a ranked game playing serious as possible and then i get a call from my roommate who forgot his key and can't get it. I went down the elevator to let him in and got back to see that in the 4 minutes i was gone I had been disconnected. upon returning 15 minutes in, my ENTIRE team was afk spamming wards in the fountain saying to report me. I can deal with that, i'd be mad too. BUT NOW after that one fucking incident of being afk for FOUR MINUTES i have a 5 game 20 minute wait. Thats 100 minutes of my life because i had to leave for four minutes to help someone with something I couldn't have planned for. Im about done with this game that is absolutely fucked it's been months since my last leave and this is what I get

You start off at 5 minute wait times. To get to the 20 minute low priority queues it means that you have a consistent history of afking in games.

Let's take a look at these numbers, because 100 minutes does seem like a lot.

Your afk ruined the game for 9 other players. The game itself lasted 18:22 minutes (assuming I found the right one, but the 128 wards placed from the Braum on your team seems like a really strong clue).

So, across those players, you wasted ~165 minutes worth of time (not counting queue time or pick/ban). Is it really that unfair, then, for your penalty to be "wasting" a little less than 2/3s of that time at your own convenience?

Personally, I don't think so. But that's just me.

You say 15 minutes, and then you say 4 minutes. Theres a big differnce, 4 minutes doesnt mean much, 15 minutes is a totally different matter. But as other people said, if this only happened once or twice(a year ish) it would mean nothing. If you got this punishment it means it has happened several times more recently. My only advice is make sure you have the time before playing.

LeaverBuster doesn't run off reports. So it doesn't matter what your teammates did or didn't do about it other than how their actions afected their own accounts. And LeaverBuster does pick up actions such as spamming wards or running in circles at the fountain, so the teammates that did that are also looking at potential LB sanctions.

As far as the 20min LPQ, like the others said, that's only given out if there's a strong pattern of leaves and afks.
